My Discord Account is compromised
At this point I have my Account back. Sadly I couldn't recover the Discord Server and I had to create a new one.
I am victim to a hack. My Discord Account HighbornTiger is no longer under my control. If someone texts you with it, that's not me. Also If you are on my Discord Server it seems like anybody who mentines that my account is comromised is getting banned by the hacker.
Please stay safe and don't download, let alone execute anything I or anyone else sends you.
The hacker tried to get into other accounts of mine but the only one I have confirmation on that he got in was Discord. I'm completely locked out and it seems it's not an easy fix. I'm in contact with Discord support.
I saw that there is a bug in the new update. Every new playthrough seems to clear the achievements. That sucks. I'm not going to touch my pc with a ten foot pole before I'm sure that the malware I stupidly downloaded and executed is no longer an issue and the hacker won't gain access to any more of my passwords. It will probably be a while until I get around to fixing this bug. Sorry about that but please bear with me. It only affects Steam.

The same thing happened to me, and I had also received a message inviting me to apply for a test position.

I do not see your discord channel anymore, so maybe Discord is finally working on it.
Or the hacker just booted everyone. Support is dragging their feet. I assumed they don't work during eastern. If they were the ones who locked down the server, I'd start to get angry. I've been waiting for two days for a response to get my account back.
I just got booted from your discord. A new announcement was made to test a new game. I thought this was sus and got booted when I said as much.
Ah... Looks like Discord sucks. But I can't tell them because I still need my Account back.
Apparently it is still hacked.
The safe word is, I post about it on a platform that isn‘t discord. It‘s hard for me to understand what‘s going on. I was hoping Discord took control over my account and shut it down. It‘s renamed to „love“. If the hacker still has control over the account a week after the hack, then Discord is utterly incompetent. Even the briefest of glances at my account activity should prove that the account was taken over by someone and should be shut down before it can be used to harm others. Why do you say that it is still hacked?

I was kind of lucky. I had people in my surroundings that know how this works. Boot pc from a stick and run anti virus software. The tests came back "clean", even though for some reason they didn't flag the .exe that was still in my deleted files folder which did the whole thing.
I could go on for a whole page as to what happened to me (so I will for future reference). Yes, the hackers did DM me on discord and asked me to test a new game. Well it was HighbornTiger after all, so why not? All this happened before the word got out. The hackers, disguised as HighbornTiger, said the game only ran in Windows 10 or 11 according to them. They also wanted the game tested in the next few hours 🤔. I should have known right then because the fake game looked like crap and nothing like Tiger would make.. No problem. I will test it in Windows 10. I then told them that it seems the game did not run at all in Windows 10 and I do not have Windows 11. The hackers reply on discord when I tell them the game does not run saying "I don't know what could be wrong"? The really do sound confused. Why don't you try this version (a JavaScript file disguised as the game). Well that does not work either. Now the hackers are really confused since they are getting no account information from me. This is your PC right? Yes 😉. Do you know anyone else who can test this? NO. I did not mention this next part to them but now I know why they were so confused. My Windows 10 computer is not connected to the internet at all and there is no account information whatsoever on it. That is why their fake game could not hack anything. I later tested both versions of the fake game in Linux and both versions they provided did try to connect to the internet and most likely discord. Ooops, no can do. That is blocked in Linux along with all your attempts at hacking me 😂. Later I found out about the hacked account 😒.

lol yeah I got a friend request and then a message saying “how you been?” And I replied with “did you get hacked there hoss” and he unfriended me immediately lol
