Development Update 50

Fifty is a big number.

Esther agrees.

Esther also agrees that her rooms color composition looks like absolute dogshit. I always hate to do renders in there because things just look green. In the image that comes with this post, the right side is the one that hasn't been fixed through post processing. It's not the light surces per se, it's really just the walls reflecting onto her face and making her look like she is about to puke.

So yeah, now I'll go thorugh 66 images where I have to mess with colors. it's twice as bad when you realize that I'm red green blind. I'm not sure if there is a soft way to say this in english. In german it's called red green weakness. And it's a lot better than to say I'm color blind because I can see colors. I can see red and green. I don't trust myself when it comes to mixing them. Adjusting them is also not the easiest thing. Did I do a good job in the image above? I don't know. For me the left side looks better. Hopefully I didn't overdo it.

Advice for my future self.

Don't make one of your rooms turquoise. It's a stupid idea.

Also the pink bed frames don't make it much better, but I can excuse that because it's realistic that on short notice the color of the bed frames weren't important and the organization just provided what they had in store.

Enough of a rant?

Well, we are at 50 development updates which all talk about A Foreign World. So since these updates aren't weekly. They weren't even once every two weeks.... It means I've been working on A Foreign World for a long ass time. Not to mention that I already thought about the story for a good year before I even started my work on the first update.

So let's wrap this sucker up before we go into the three digit range.

I'm at around 340 render files for the next update. Sadly next week I'll have a hard time getting the last 30-50 renders done. I'll do some writing instead.
