Friday Update - November 6th, 2020

I'll sum up how my week has mostly gone by using Kylie (the female MC) as my proxy:

It's been a week of stress. Almost none of it is game-related, however, so I'll just leave it at that. 💜

I've hit a minor setback as I've started rendering Sophia's intro - some parts of her skin just don't quite work the way I want them to; she was one of my first Daz creations, and now that I've learned a bit I'm going to change a few things up on her. Nothing dramatic at all; a slight adjustment to her eye colour, desaturating her skin a bit (it keeps coming up a burnt orange in certain settings), and toning down her lip gloss... a lot. Thankfully, I haven't rendered a ton with her, so it won't take long. Not just because of how little I'd done with her... but because I am now the proud owner of a functioning RTX 3080!!!

Meet Sombra:

For you tech nerds out there:

CPU: Intel® Core™ Processor i9-10850K 10/20 3.60GHz
MEMORY: 64GB DDR4/3000MHz Dual Channel Memory
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS PRIME Z490-V ATX
VIDEO: GeForce RTX™ 3080 10GB GDDR6X

I quite literally purchased this new system only because I wanted to make Mythos - so let none wonder if I'm truly committed to the project, or not! Renders should be coming much more quickly, now - but do remember I'm still a Daz novice, so I'm still climbing that learning curve.

Thankfully, I've made some friends among other AVN Devs and most of them are happy to help me out if I ask questions. I'm a stubborn type that hates to ask, but I'm getting better about that.

I will be getting out November wallpapers to Patrons of the proper tiers, even though it'll be almost two weeks into the month before I finish them. But I'll be working on December's at the same time. Double treat for you all! There will be a version with the calendar and without, depending on your aesthetic preference. November's wallpaper will feature Kylie, and I'll have a poll up for who gets to grace your desktops in December.

My small but powerful group of supports - both Patreon and Discord - have been tremendous, truly. I'm doing this for you lot, after all!

That's all the news I got for this week. Until next time, keep the legends alive!

- Teri ♥
