Size Chart

I often get asked about the sizing for Tuppence Ha'penny patterns. This size chart is applicable to all patterns released from 2023 onwards (patterns released in my first year of Patreon go up to size 24 - equivalent to modern size 14 US / 18 UK - although I have plans to eventually reissue them in the new size range).

My sizing is derived from the sizing and proportions of 1940s-50s sewing patterns. All patterns are based on original vintage pattern blocks, and offer an authentic fit and ease for 1940s/1950s styling, as appropriate.

Hi, I just signed up because I fell in love with your blouse and the hooded jacket. Is there any suggestion how to choose the correct bust size? I have around 4 inch difference between high bust and full bust. Thank you :)

What length of zipper would you suggest using?

For dresses I usually use a 22-24in zipper, or 20in if it has a slightly lower back neckline (such as the Mimosa dress)

I signed up once the expanded size range was announced, and am really looking forward to the re-release of the Swingtime skirt & Promenade dress - any ETA on when the expanded sizes may be re-released?

For the moment my focus is on new patterns so I'm afraid I don't have an ETA on the re-releases. I would hope to start re-releasing by late 2023 / early 2024, but it is dependent on my Patreon growth so I'm not able to commit to a timeline. Fingers crossed though!

Thanks Charlotte. Would it be possible for you to add the upper bust measurements to the chart too please? 🙏 Because I often have to grade between a lower size for my shoulders and armsyce to my bust and waist and this would really help me to know where to start… Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into adding this
