Magazine: Cahiers Bleus Autumn/Winter 1960-61
It's time for another Cahiers Bleus fashion trend report!
Autumn/Winter 1960-61 was all about texture. The variety of tweeds, velvets, tartans, taffetas and lace in this Cahiers Bleus trend report and sourcebook is astonishing - there's even some quilted loungewear outfits - and accompanying fabric samples!

This is fabulous...the fashions are to die for! I'm loving that there are multiple translations. I'm not sure if it's a product of poor translating or if it's just a difference in vocabulary of the times, but I find it very interesting that I was confused reading the English and then the Spanish cleared it up for me, and I'm by no means fluent in Spanish 😄
The English translations were clearly not written by a native speaker, so it might be that idiomatic Spanish is more similar to the French. Similar to you, I found that reading the original French helped clarify some of the text!
