Warehouse Speakeasy
Take care when strolling through the industrial district by the light of the full moon, lest you encounter the fearsome…WAREHOUSE! Your players are most likely actively seeking it out, however, as within the maze of stacked shipping crates and barrels one of these buildings hides nothing less than a concealed drinking establishment. Is the party coming to enforce prohibition, to meet with some dastardly bootleggers, or simply to enjoy the tinny tunes of the mechanical piano? Available in two variants, with the conspicuous (and temporary?) absence of any speakeasy, and another where a hideout has taken its place, this map will have your players singing the praises of an altogether different type of moonshine!
Plateau Village
Is someone gonna call this bluff? Towering over the surrounding drylands, this plateau village offers its inhabitants incomparable protection from the threats that roam these badlands. Maybe not so much with the weather, or anything that comes by air. Now the question is, how does one get up there? Full animated and available in a flooded variant and an even more arid one without plants, this map just needs your players to not look down!
VR Theatre
At the science-fiction double-feature, Dr. X might build a creature! Unless that creature is already part of this VR theatre's exclusively new, or banal and common-place, augmented experience? Experience full immersion in the VR spectacle like you never have before, with almost no risk of reality slips or any real, lasting damage. The perfect place for a covert rendez-vous, or a dastardly ambush, this map is also available in vibrant red, or with the lights out for after-hours meet-ups and popcorn removal. Pure cinema!
Sideways
It’s all a matter of perspective! A stately manor house, its ancient walls crawling with old-growth ivy, its heavy glass-paned windows, tiled roofs and shrubbery might seem grandiose or ominous enough from the ground. When it becomes the very ground you stand on, whether in magic or in dream, it’s an altogether far more uncanny experience. Available in two additional variants, with the ancient abode in a state of disrepair and with a cosmic backdrop to fully drive home the space oddity, this map should have your players telling themselves, “This is not my beautiful house”…
The Vortex
Did someone leave the water running? No doubt the brave explorers who have delved deep into the heart of this primeval forest will be surprised to find that the life-giving river's source is no more than a hovering portal endlessly gushing water from some distant lake, or even another plane of existence! Unless that very vortex is what they were seeking in the first place? Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with a fiery portal spewing molten magma into the woods, and a plain clearing free from otherworldly environmental alteration, this map is your player's perfectly safe (?) gateway to the elemental plane of water!
Vintage Metro Station
Track to the future? There’s a simplicity and an efficiency to the railroad that has stood the test of time, and as we look into the future, what do we hope to see? More, better trains! Whether a relatively new invention in your setting or a favourite of travellers everywhere, perhaps one such train might even be a gateway to the distant future…Or perhaps that train of the future can bring you back to the past? This very long map is available in two variants, a classic engine stopped at a station likely clogged with cigarette smoke, the other bringing the same station into a new age, full of neon signs and VR ads. The more things change, the more things stay the same!
Twisted Reality
There must be some kind of way out of here, said the fighter to the thief... What even is this place? Or perhaps the better question is, how? Why? When? Warped and defying countless laws of physics and logic alike, this twisted hallway could just as easily be the collapsing pocket dimension of some mad arcanist as it could be the inner representation of a twisted psyche, and everything in between! Fully animated and available in three additional variants, with backgrounds varying from pitch darkness to a cloudy sky by way of a disintegrating void, this map will have your players really wondering what condition their conditions are in!
The Troll's Bridge
Under the bridge down-troll is where I drew some blood! Did you know that the etymology of the word toll stems from the ancient practice of subcontracting trolls to collect fees on public infrastructure? Now, while that might not be true according to the "Dictionary" or whatever, it could entirely be true in your setting. Whether trolls have long gone extinct, hunted down by anti-taxation monster hunters, or still practice this noble tradition to this day, the slightly overgrown but still charming and sturdy bridge in this map will allow your players to experience that classic trope. Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with a more decrepit bridge, and a modern and tidy, freshly maintained version, this map may have your players hoping they had, and not for the first time, a billy goat with them!
Space Salvage
We claim salvage rights! The laws of space may not be as clear-cut and draconian as, say, maritime law, but there are a few constants. Among them, the right to lay claim to abandoned or destroyed vessels and structures floating out in the black when nobody else has clear jurisdiction. That last part, of course, allows for a bit of wiggle room for savvy crews of enterprising scavengers. Fully animated (spinning!) and available in three additional variants, with a more destroyed ship, cargo spilling out of the wreck’s hold, and hard, gold-pressed currency floating out for the taking, this map will have your players forgetting how the man took their love, took their land, took them where they cannot stand!
Northern Forest
Long, dark winters can be harsh enough, and that's before the Hiisi strike! Ancient dangers lurk in the northern forests, and sometimes the trackers and hunters among your party need a chance to shine. Cue this extra-long, extended winter forest map, the perfect place to hunt after, say, a dire winter wolf, a killer snowy hare, or a skeletal elk construct! Fully animated and available in two extra variants, with a little colour in the form of heather bushes and after the snow has thawed (if it ever does), we hope this map doesn't have your players throwing a Hiisi fit!
Underdark Crystal
They're putting crystals in the water to turn the...whole area green? Whether these crystalline structures are naturally occurring or symptoms of some nefarious invasive presence, there's definitely powerful magics at work here. Who in your party will be the first to touch the glowing crystal, and why should they definitely not do that? I think you know the one... Fully animated and available in three variants, one located in a fey inspired landscape and the other more hellish and roiling with flames, this map is definitely not (?!) radioactive!
Tech Ruins
Technological ruins? On your unexplored planet? It's more likely than you think! Space archaeology plays an important role in discovering the rise and fall of long-dead civilizations, though this massive technological ruin is a far cry from the pottery shards and ancient statuettes one might usually find! Overgrown and dormant, there's of course no way that this mysterious machine could be a threat to anyone anymore. Right? Available in two additional variants, one featuring the machine in its original environment, and another after its abandonment but before nature took over, this map and its variants are a perfect way for your party to worry not about where they are, but rather when they are!
Orc Outpost
More work? Given the sturdiness of the wood and stone palisade that surrounds this encampment, the orcs that live here must have to deal with rather inhospitable neighbours. It's hard to blame them, though: protecting your burgeoning families and/or horde of warriors can be tricky business, whether your particular type of orc is more plow or WAAAGH! Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with the outpost by day and a more menacing version featuring garlands of humanoid skulls, this map will have your players zug-zugging with the best of them!
Creepy Forest
All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey…Summer is halfway gone, so it’s time to look ahead to cooler seasons! A few months hence the trees will begin to lose their verdant plumage. As the harvest season passes, the chill that settles in the air will make even the most comforting forest path suddenly look…haunting. Surely these grand old trees and their gnarled limbs outstretched under the moonlight, amidst mushrooms and piles of fallen leaves couldn’t herald anything sinister, or could they? Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with leafy green foliage concealing the bone-white branches and another creepier variant where robed statues lurk amongst the trees, this map will have your party wishing they hadn’t gone apple-picking in the old orchard so late in the day!
Sunken Bridge
That’s no moon! There’s only really two ways any large galactic civilization can go: an optimistic band of peaceful post-scarcity space explorers, or an evil, tyrannical empire. You probably have some idea of which one this map fits best, but it is your world after all! With a wide viewscreen from which to gaze out upon the destruction wrought by one’s fleet, a crew pit so that none of the peons get any ideas above their station, and plenty of room for climactic showdowns against would-be do-gooders, this fully animated map is fully operational, and available in two additional versions, one with more stations on the bridge, and the other in blue and grey shades. You may fire when ready.
Crop Circles
The truth is out there. Out in the fields! Who would suspect that this unassuming farmstead could be the site of mysterious activity in the form of unexplained crop circles? The farmers are certainly friendly enough, even though they’re a little stiff in their usual interactions with visitors. Their new child, who just appeared in their lives one day, is also polite enough, though they do tend to stare a lot, and never blink…Fully animated and available in three extra variants, where the crop circles glow with green menace, serve as magical portals, or sparkle with the magic of faerie, this map will have your players wishing this were a field of dreams!
Cosmic Battle
Epic final showdown! Cue “Duel of the Fates”, or equivalent epic soundtrack, preferably with some kind of operatic choir in the background. The much anticipated conclusion to another epic campaign is upon you, and you need the perfect place for your brave party of heroes to face off against their BBEG nemesis? Look no further than this map, whose cataclysmic shattering heralds a battle for the ages with the highest of stakes at play! Fully animated and available in two additional variants, an infernal showdown over an ashen chasm, and atop an obsidian cliff overlooking an immense hoard of overflowing gold coins, this map will send your campaign off in the best of ways! Unless it’s just another Thursday night..?
Main Engineering
I love the sound of the engine core in the morning! Whether it’s a low thrum, or more of a deep throb, every engineer worth their salt is going to have their favourite, even as they work around the clock to make sure the ejectors remain online, install the self-sealing stem bolts, and swap out those ever-fickle isolinear chips. Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with a containment breach in one and a full failure in the other (red alert!), this map will have your players wishing they’d reversed the polarity!
Wacky Pirate Base
Why is the rum gone? Probably because all that sweet nectar was consumed while this mad, floating folly was patched together! Anchored to surrounding pillars, it's doubtful that this wacky pirate base could ever sail - it seems miraculous that it can even float. With its multiple platforms, bar, tables, grill, slide, and preserved aquatic megafauna, it's fun, though, and what are pirates about if not fun? Available in two additional variants, with the wacky base floating at night under a blood moon, and "accidentally" on fire, this map will remind your players what piracy is all about: good times with friends!
Busy Square
Backstreets are back, alright! The urban sprawl can sometimes be dense, especially when the neon is glowing, vents are smoking, and the sound of footsteps rapidly approaching on the pavement can sound disaster, or the time to strike. Or maybe it’s a quiet evening away from the busiest roads and intersection, having a bit from the street-food cart and definitely not engaging in any shady back-alley dealings. Available in three variants, one during a blackout where this square is even darker, and another under the assault of some creeping alien menace, this map might have your players becoming streetlight people!
Old Druid Ruins
There are places of ancient power across the land, where sentient beings in harmony with their environment have been able to tap into the immanent magic of the natural world. Gaze upon one such site, its pristine beauty unmarred by the ritualistic purpose it serves, even as the statue of its bear-headed guardian watches over the sanctity of the grove. Fully animated and available in two overgrown versions reclaimed by wilderness, one without runes and featuring an elven statue, this lush map will get a green thumbs up from your players!
Three Level Cave
That’s quite a drop! X marks the spot, but you never know if that unstable patch of dirt you’re digging into is going to collapse and send you tumbling down into an underground creek. Or perhaps you’ve finally found the secret entrance to the smuggler’s cove, and have to carefully wind your way down the treacherous rope bridges and ladders, careful not to make one fateful slip? Fully animated and phased over three layers from top to bottom, this cavernous map might have your players wishing they weren’t free…free falling!
Pride forest
Sometimes the road matters more than the destination! Even more so when it traverses such wonder-filled landscapes, diverse and teeming with life, worthy of protection and love! Who wouldn’t be proud of a forest such as this? Or worse, what absolute villains would threaten anyone simply travelling upon this enchanted pathway? Fully animated and available in an extra sparkly version, as well as a more traditionally green-tinted woods and its night-time version, this map celebrates every beautiful colour of the rainbow, and beyond!
Alien Terrain
Glowing blue goodness! These alien crystals are almost certainly worth harvesting, but it’s a bit difficult on unstable terrain. Not to mention the native creatures that seem eerily protective of the luminescent structures, and that will aggressively fight against all sorts of mineral extraction! Fully animated and available in day and night versions, with and without pits, this strange new world can be the staging ground for your heroes’ next space adventure!
Late Show
Once upon a time, there was a legendary bard, beloved by the people, who wielded wit and wisdom to entertain and enlighten the masses. For over a decade he made this theatre his home, a temple of culture from where he and his troupe amused audiences, with a reach far greater than anyone could have foreseen. He mocked the powerful, the prideful, and the foolish, but eventually the forces of greed and corruption prevailed against him. Is this where your heroes come in, to defend and protect the entertainer, or is it already too late? Available in two additional variants, as a plain stage and a generic talk show with no letters in lights, this map is a sign of the times. Meanwhile!
After the Battle
I always wondered which gnome man owned the land between two warring armies. Not a lucky guy! Anyway, war is hell and it never changes. Whether this battlefield is just old or rather ancient, cursed by some forgotten magic never to return to its once verdant glory, this site still bears the scars of hard-fought battle. A perfect place to make camp! Fully animated and available without the camp, and on fire, this map may have your players asking, war? What is it good for?
Airport
It's just like the Motors said: Airport! A familiar place to many, an exotic locale to more, and perhaps a vanishing experience when jet fuel gets expensive and pandemics plague the world. Behold the humble regional airport, with its four terminals, ample seating, and generous food stalls. What sort of goods might be waiting to be collected at luggage claim? What manner of incident might be resolved, or caused, by an intrepid group of PCs? Fallen World Tree
If the World Tree falls in the forest and everyone is around to hear it, does anything survive? Perhaps this devastating fall took place eons ago, and life somehow managed to find a way, or perhaps your party have found their way here from another plane, another crystal sphere, or an alternate reality where the Tree still thrives. Either way, a path now runs through the torn and broken stump, a way to navigate between the massive roots and whatever new perils lurk there. Fully animated and available in two additional variants, one with the broken roots smouldering, the other with verdant life sprouting and heralding renewal, this map will have your party wishing every day was Arbor day!
The Kukka Airship
Skyriding has never been classier! Who said that transporting passengers, cargo, or setting sail for wild adventures couldn’t be done on an airship with some real flair? If you’re looking for a ship that’ll treat you right, the Kukka’s here for you. Also available in pitched battle against a more brutal but nevertheless well armed opponent, both airships are also available in transparency for use as vehicles across all your favourite maps! Skyward ho!
Hive Mind
Resistance is probably futile. This cybertronic brain atop its supercomputer humanoid hive and weapons system might look friendly, but he is anything but. Will your party heed its warning to flee before it's too late, or push their luck to save humanity, the world, or more? This phased map in four stages can see your party take down this cerebellar menace once and for all. Blow its brains out today!
Obstacle Alley
Get out of the way! Urban environments are great for chases, and you never know what’s going to get in your party’s way as they leg it after the bad guys, or the good guys, depending. Unless they’re the ones doing the running? Fully animated and available in a version that’s ON FIRE and by snow for extra slippery adventures, this map will have your party Benny Hilling around like nobody’s business!
City Sewer
Congratulations! What an incredible smell you’ve discovered! You don’t need me to tell you how important sewers are to city infrastructure, how they are an essential marker of civilizational advancement, or how crucial it is in any good storyteller’s and game master’s arsenal. Just look at all those side chambers! Fully animated and available in cleaner, normal, and debris-strewn variants, invite your players on a journey that will make them grateful their favourite VTT hasn’t developed immersive smells (yet)!
Abandoned Highway
You’re telling me the traffic is still this bad, even after The Event? No matter what kind of disaster has befallen this abandoned highway, and probably far more of this world besides, the wrecks of abandoned vehicles provides both an atmospheric backdrop and a stark reminder of all that was lost. Fully animated and available in five additional variants, across three different biomes, including underwater, and without vehicles, this map will have your survivors thinking they might well be the last of us!
Hellish Heights
It’ll be a cold day in hell before this lava river freezes over, possibly literally. Has your party upset some irritable fiends? Have they been outrunning them so far, but the fates aren’t in their favour? Or perhaps they’re just out to destroy a simple golden ring. Either way, now you can back them up to the edge of this cliff, from which there is little escape save for the roiling fire below! Desert Alley
If this settlement is located near an oasis, does that make these wonder walls? The dry heat of an arid landscape can be hard to bear, but whitewashed buildings with thick walls can do wonders for keeping things cool. Between the squat, flat-roofed homes and shops, narrow alleys provide places of traffic, commerce, and plenty of opportunities for either escape or ambush. Available by day and night, and prepared with layers for the hanging fabrics and ladders, this alley map will make street rats of your party yet!
Space Atrium
Some people want to get away from it all. What better place to do that than in the dark depths of space? This station has it all, enough room and quarters to house a large family, or a small research team, with fully functioning hydroponics and a lush, vibrant garden. Available in a second, less shiny version, this map makes for the perfect getaway cottage – just don’t try to put a pie out on the windowsill!
Lumber Mill
Did you see the saw? Chopping down primeval forests is one thing, turning those massive trees into useable lumber is another thing, and that’s where this sawmill comes in! Employing the current of a conveniently forked river is perfect to facilitate the transport of raw materials and finished products, which also turns the water wheel that powers the massive saw! Just another industrial site where nothing might go wrong, certainly not abandoned after hauntings or attacks from the forest animals, elves, or loraxes. Fully animated and available in versions with and without the roof over the mill, as well as with the daring settlement of this installation in a fey land, clearly instruct your party to keep their hands and fingers away from the machinery at all times! It’s been 0 days since the last accident…
High School
TPK fall-out? Why don't you sheathe your blade and go back to highschool! There's no shame in returning to acquire a quality secondary education, or getting one in the first place before you go traipsing around abandoned castles, forgotten tombs. And dreary dungeons. With a full complement of classrooms and teaching amenities, and plenty of room for trouble-making, will this be a temporary stop for your party, or the place they all band together to begin with? Available in two additional variants, this school could be the site of the best days of any party's lives, or their last..Hoot, growl!
Warp Gate
Constructed by ancient alien entities and later repurposed, or the wondrous output of a star-spanning galactic empire, warp gates are the key to travelling across the galaxy, and possibly beyond. No-one ever thinks to visit, though, always just passing by! A wondrous cross-section of what a galactic lighthouse might be, with all the amenities required to sustain a small maintenance crew, this map is animated in multiple variants, featuring the gate turned off, on, and in a grittier, more run-down state, this star gate will have you asking after O’Neill, Jackson, or Carter before long!
Over the River
There are many rivers to cross, and if you can't find your way over this one, have you considered going over the bridge? Given the look of of the choppy waters beneath, that might be your best bet. Risks involve but are not limited to: brigands holding the bridge to extract undue tolls, trolls lurking beneath with some kind of goat fetish, and the river coming to life to bar your path. Fully animated and available in two additional variants, with the bridge tragically out, and in a winter wonderland, be sure to cross this map when you come to it!
Hunter's Garden
Huntress, don’t miss, park is done, done done! A hallmark of civilization, hunting as an activity has long outlasted its necessity for nourishment. Has the Hunt been turned into a symbolic ritual by this advanced elven society, or are their culture still facing constant assault by fearsome foes that still require elimination by a caste of fearsome rangers? Fully animated and available in two additional variants, the beautiful park shattered by an earthquake, and with a violet hue to the lawn and trees, this garden map is the perfect place for a spot of dignified rest, or an explosive battle at the heart of an elven capital. Gonna be, gonna be golden!
The Bridge
Blow the boatswain’s call, there’s a captain on deck! Going boldly forth into the farthest reaches of the galaxy is no small endeavour, so why not do it in style? With plenty of stations to be manned by crewmembers, be they green or seasoned interstellar traveller, all that’s left is for some bold adventurers to take the helm and venture forth, to infinity, and beyond! Fully animated and available in three variants or perhaps, shall we say, generations…? This spaceship bridge map is the perfect location from which to depart on all manner of faster-than-light adventures. Engage!
Maelstrom!
This is no ordinary storm! Salty sailors might have experience with many perils of the high seas, but this one might baffle even the scurviest seadog. Is the lightning shooting out from the swirling depths, or shooting into it? And why does it feel, even every bit of flotsam nearby is being drawn into it, that something appears to be emerging from the heart of this vortex? What better place for a party of adventurers with an excess of liquidities to stash their ill-gotten lucre than this thick-walled dwarven bank, with the highest levels of mundane and arcane protections in place to protect customers' wealth? Unless, of course, your outlaws are instead looking to retrieve some important document or dormant artifact from this reputable establishment's many safety-deposit coffers... Fully animated and available in three variants, this banking establishment embedded into a mountainside for extra safety, or surrounded by a deep moat, with the drawbridge both lowered and raised, this map will have your players lightening their pockets, or lining them up in no time. City Sidewalk
Mean streets, or perhaps a boulevard of broken dreams? Whether a meeting place for totally legitimate business transactions, a place to take one's (always too short) lunchbreak, or the perfect place for an ambush, this sidewalk and plaza proves both scenic and strategic, with easy access to the nearby street and a quick way to get some higher ground, not to mention plenty of cover. Available in two variants, by night and in a far trashier and less well-maintained version, this sidewalk is ideal for lovers, tourists, and assassins!
Elven Mountain Temple
Talk about high elves! Astride the highest mountain peak, the fair folk built this temple in honour of their ancient gods, a fine example of their architectural grace nestled against the sheer rock face. Do pointy-eared acolytes still roam these pristine halls, in defiance of the frigid winds that blow upon them, or has this house of worship been long abandoned, perhaps even taken over by intruders? Fully animated and available in two additional variants, an even more magical temple and a fully corrupted version, this map is sure to give your party their fair share of vertigo!
Trial of Three
You know what they say: two’s company, three’s a terrifying altar fit for the foulest of eldritch rituals. Be it deep within an active volcano’s caldera, or at the heart of the hells, these cages, pentacle, and ancient statues have witnessed countless occult dealings, infernal summonings, and unholy sacrifices. Fully animated and available in two additional, more wholesome variants, with water replacing lava and lush, verdant growth overtaking the altar, this map is ideal for all your final showdowns, or for your party to make some very, very big mistakes!
Trading Outpost
Hey there chum, looking to buy or trade? According to many, commercial exchanges are what hold the galaxy together, so it's no wonder that places where goods can be exchanged, sold, or bartered exist pretty much everywhere that living beings have a chance to travel to. Whether this particular outpost is a decent place where hardworking folk will give your party an honest deal, a wretched hive of scum and villainy, or something in between is up to you! Fully animated and available in two additional variants, one with fewer vendors hawking their goods out in the open, and another where the deathly maw of some subterranean beast has opened up to swallow unwary merchants and customer alike, this map is all set for your every need, be they shopping, run-ins with law enforcement, or high-octane chase scenes!
Tower Devastation
“Hey, are you sure you can cast Teleport at your level?”
“Yeah, trust me, I’ve done this, like, tons of time, watch this…”
Someone’s gonna get fired for this…Magic is a volatile thing, and although experienced practitioners usually have things well under control, small mishaps can still happen. Minor things, like blowing up an archmage’s tower and sending its exploded remnants and all its contents floating in another plane of reality. And adventurers have never been known to cause any similar calamity, or trigger a trap that would result in just such a contingency! Available in two additional variants, with more earthly settings of grasslands and an equally devastated forest environment, let your players confront calamity with catastrophic cartography!

From a frozen icescape to an arid desert, by way of an enchanted faerie forest or bubbling pools of molten rock, this magically maintained establishment is designed to securely hold beasts of every stripe or feather. Only three visitor deaths recorded over the last year! Of course, you decide how ethical and dangerous this zoo is, and what happens here by day or night, in an alternate version. Enrage your druids and rangers, let your barbarians break the swingsets, and allow your party to take a day out where absolutely nothing will go wrong, down at the zoo!
Quite the Pickle
I was approached late last year about making maps for an existing adventure, Quite the Pickle. I don't normally do commissions or make maps for other people's adventures but in this particular case all the proceeds go to charity so I decided to make some time for the project. While a few IRL things delayed the maps, they are finally done. Though they were originally made to go with this adventure, they also work perfectly as stand alone inn maps you can drop into any adventure. The maps are based on the original line art maps by Trevor Salla.
Mysterious Mushrooms
Ring ring, ring ring, ring ring, ring ring, a mushroom ring! Commonly known as fairy rings or fairy circles, this mycelial structure is no doubt just an innocent manifestation of natural beauty. Never mind the eerie music that weaves through the air in the vicinity, the countless disappearances in these parts of the woods as of late, and the local peoples’ countless warnings to stay away. They say no dwarf is an island, but building a dwarfhold on the other side of a mist-filled chasm might be the next best thing. A choppy white-water river is a good alternative as well, but what about a bridge of light that's hardly visible and prevents invaders from crossing over? How about a completely invisible bridge that requires a tried and trusted leap of faith so that only the penitent person must pass? The Path
The road to inner peace can take many forms - through meditation, good deeds, introspection, taking care of cherished loved ones...In some cases, it can also be a literal road. Down this path, one can embark upon a journey of self-discovery, a pilgrimage, a visit to a mysterious sage that is possessed of ancient wisdom, or just take the most convenient route to reach the monastery that's been overtaken by a local (and possibly monstrous) tyrant and his bloodthirsty minions. Fully animated with a gentle breeze blowing about the blossoms of the venerable trees lining this road, and available in night-time and sparklier versions, let the serene beauty of this map lull your players into a false sense of safety as some terrible ambush or ominous vision is visited upon them. Highway to hell, or stairway to heaven? You decide!
Winter
Winter is coming. Prepare your game for the wintry season, its many delights and perils with this set of three fully animated snowy maps, all available with a festive seasonal variant! And look, over in this meadow – a gingerbread house that appeared out of thin air! What treats and delight await inside this completely innocent and sweet-smelling abode, at the end of the candy-trail?! Only you can decide whether your party’s been naughty or nice, though they should probably watch out one way or another!
The Barn
Consider the humble barn. A mainstay of agricultural architecture, a simple, reliable, essential place of storage for provender, shelter for animals, depository for tools, and the occasional tryst in the hay with the farmer’s progeny. Of course, the protection from the elements it provides can support an even greater range of activities, some more nefarious than others. What better place than this roomy, remote structure to house a den of smugglers and bandits? Mayhaps even more barbaric and murderous activities could be conducted behind its plain wooden walls, out of sight and out of hearing of any potential witnesses. Whether your PCs were born in a barn, or only locked its doors after the horse had already bolted, any of the three versions of this map are sure to provide the ideal location for a rural rumble!
Theatre
From the Colosseum in Rome to the Hollywood Bowl, outdoor performance venues come in many shapes and sizes, but always hold the promise of dazzling shows, be it under the stars, the scorching sun, or a (not so) gentle rain. With its great arched gates, ornate masonry, and terraced steps hewn by expert craftsmen and augmented by sturdy wooden benches for added comfort, this theatre can accommodate hundreds of avid spectators.
Illusion (Hag House)
All that glitters is not gold, never judge a book by its cover, appearances can be deceiving, etc. That said, what’s not to love about a bucolic glen, a gently winding river running through it, a handful of sheep grazing its lush, rich grass as birdsong serenades visitors to the humble abode of a local healer and wise-person? Never mind the fact that the shadows cast by the trees might be a little longer than expected, or that the air smells staler than it ought to, and definitely don’t try to taste the crystal clear waters that somehow reek of stagnant filth.
The Dump - All Maps
What a dump! A junkyard, to be exact, though an enterprising mind might surely find materials of greater worth than scrap, and also probably worth less, somewhere in these stacked heaps of refuse. One just needs to be careful not to bother whomever, or whatever, might have made their lair amidst the mound of assorted, discarded waste. Available in iced-over and flaming variants – for all your dumpster fire needs -, this fully animated map will fill any aspiring artificer’s spirit with glee, any proper druid’s heart with wrath, and finally answer the age-old question: is one creature’s junk truly another’s treasure? Civilizations rise and fall, and in their wake the remnants of their great and mighty structures are left at the mercy of nature and the elements. Vineyard - All Maps
I heard through the grapevine that you were looking for a winery map? Well, look no further! Get ready for a hoedown! As Autumn approaches, the air grows crisper, foliage turns lovely shades of crimson and ochre, and the last of the season's crops reach ripeness, ready for reaping. What better way to celebrate nature's bounty than a harvest festival? The Streets - All Maps
Hot take: shopping sessions don’t tend to be a lot of fun. I know, I know, it’s a controversial opinion, but the fact is that everyone’s making their own choices, some players (not naming names) can’t make up their minds, and for those mostly looking to kill things and buckle swashes, it can grow a little tedious.
