Note maybe that in Japan traditional tea ceremonies are kind of a whole thing not just making tea.
I need reaction to episode 3 holy shit Danny 😭😭😭
Words cant describe the joy i feel when I watch an unsuspecting person watch madoka for the first time
I remember going into this show thinking it was gonna be light hearted years ago. Ha. Ha. Hahaha.
Ohhh I just started this video and him thinking it’s a j-pop teenage idol show is so funny 🤣🤣 I can’t wait for him to see this shit 😂 he’s in for a treat
Madoka Magica is such a good example of Brandon Sanderson's fantasy advice - make sure you start the story with the right promises. Even if you plan to have a huge 'twist' you HAVE to have something at the beginning that hints at where the story is going. Otherwise, when the twist (especially genre twist) hits, a lot of people will drop the story, ebcause it's not the one they were promised at the beginning of the show.
whoops didn't mean to hit enter. In closing, Madoka Magica is sweet and cute for the first three episodes, sure, but the opening scene sets up the promise of the rest of the series right from the start! I remember in high school, I literally wasn't going to keep watching until the music started and I literally shot up and went 'YUKI KAJIURA?????'. And then I decided to give it a chance lol. She loves to score psychological horror-adjacent anime haha
Danny, I would love to see you continue on this. But im cool with not doing so. Im terribly hungry for more ouran rn.
the rest are on youtube!! this is just bc it got taken down
The edgy chick callout
btw the brief nudity in the intro isn’t meant to be weird it’s symbolic of vulnerability and purity, similar to biblical imagery. it reflects their innocence before becoming magical girls, and how that innocence is ultimately stripped away.
"this is the least up my ally show that I have ever had to cover" hillarious when you know that it's now one of his favorite anime
if you dont watch all of the madoka magika episodes, then the 3 movies are literally the episodes combined
