What's going on with resolutions?
Final post of the day, I quickly want to touch on pack resolutions - as there's been some changes.
As the pack has grown, and more textures have been added, the 512x version has continued down the path of instability. Minecraft combines every texture into a single atlas before loading it into the game, and the sheer amount of high res files in the 512x version of the pack produces an atlas so large it hits the hardware limit on certain graphics cards - causing the pack to throw an error instead of loading. Even on higher end cards that do support these larger atlas sizes - performance often significantly struggles. Bedrock compatibility has also hit a hard limit. Nothing can be done about these issues from a software perspective.
The 256x has been the vastly superior version of the pack for a while now, offering exceptional performance over the 512x with a negligible difference in quality.
Therefore, going forward the 512x pack will be merged into the 256x version as the new flagship version of Prime's HD Textures. Items - as they are larger on your screen - will remain at the full 512x resolution, while blocks will stay at the much more stable 256x resolution.
This change has been scaled for all versions of the pack as well - all items in all resolutions will look clearer, with much more consistent performance across the pack.

can you get the 3d blocks with irs?
soy nuevo por aca un gusto apoyar este proyecto
so its inpossible to get 512?
ok
On my 5090 9800x3d 64gb ram it worked just fine and i was able to run 240 fps on max settings , any chance of this coming back?
can you make 1024x already
When will you fix primes HD 512x resolution? I am new and I really bought this just for the 512x resolution.
how do i get the old one aka the 512x version
I use PBR+ or different version?
ok I LOVE the pbr items pack, BUT I do have to say the axe looks kinda weird and flat i have used around 8 shaders (including all the ones on the discord) and thats probably my only complaint so far, but everything other than that is great so good job!
Hmm, could be a bug, if you haven't already sending screenshots in the discord can help me and the mods track down and fix things :)
Which shaders work best? Only one i've noticed work well is bliss. Others have crashed. Looking for something a bit lighter to have a more stable fps
I recommend BSL
i LOVE this pack :) saw one single video on yt shorts and new i had to join up. its my new favorite! also, i support this change. love the 256x purely because it runs better, but i LOVE the 512x item textures
I second this. Another pack creator I've downloaded from has a solid 1.9gigs for their bedrock pack, it's crashes on my 5070ti ryzen 9. The smaller files will be much better, and even at 128x, things are still looking great
I think this is a very good decision. If even high-end graphic cards now start to struggle with this, and even many blocks still have to be added, then the 512x version is just not viable. Thanks for all the work!
