Computer Upgrade!

It's Alive!

Today marks the day the last bits of data were transferred over from the old computer and onto to the new one! It took about 3 days of installations for Kontakt, DAW updates, photoshop, MS Paint, other similar essential tools, and the migration of numerous libraries, session projects, and art/music files from the old computer, but it's finally done! No longer do I have to ignore that the bottom 1/3rd of my computer is blocked by a Windows Crash log, no longer must I avoid clicking 'Home', lest I crash my computer immediately, no longer must I archive every project I finish and port it over onto a portable harddrive, no longer must I wait 35 minutes to restart my computer every time I turn it off!

Meet the newest edition to the team: Prime. Unlike Deathless (my old computer), Prime doesn't crash when you click the start menu. Unlike Deathless, all of the keys on the keyboard work (I was missing '-', 'r', 't', and 's' about 40% of the time). Prime works at roughly the double the speed, 1/5th the heat output, 1/4th the weight, all of its USB ports work (I was down to 2 USB ports as the others had failed), the battery lasts more than 20 minutes, and it boasts enough hard drive space to store my stupidly large sound effect library (26 gigs of which are simply labeled 'fake audience cheering sounds'). Though it doesn't have a cool NoSleep Podcast sticker or a neat scar from where I accidentally stabbed the computer with a sword during a recording session, Prime is a working computer that will allow me to edit and produce future shows with a lot less frustration.

I just started working on The White Vault 003 tonight (We'll have episode 2 uploaded for you guys early tomorrow!) and am looking forward to creating great things!
