Update - Where's the video?

You may have noticed the new animation wasn't posted this week. In fact, nothing was posted this week.

I was dead set on uploading this Friday because I didn't want it to be 2 months without an animated short. To me, that is unacceptable so I didn't even consider making a piece of art in the event I wouldn't make it. I had to make it.

I mentioned this in my most recent WIP but, when the clip is short, it's easy for me to make a mistake and think the work needed to finish it will be manageable. When I realized progress was going too slow, I stopped going to bed at my normal time. Stopped going to the gym. Started pulling all nighters. If I sacrifice my health, maybe I could make the deadline. Just working a little harder would fix it.

On Friday, I had to finally recognize that, even working through the night again, it wouldn't be done.

This wasn't me being too slow. In reality, this is just the actual human labor needed to draw ever frame of animation at the detail and quality I wanted. I'm sorry that I judged it so poorly and again promised a deadline I couldn't keep.

Hopefully this time I've learned I can't just knuckle down and suddenly give 300% effort for an entire week. I will do my best to set better expectations in the future.

But this isn't the first time I screwed up and failed to deliver a project. Both the Q&A and the Introvert vs the College Party videos have been promised and failed to materialize. I'm not only gonna make this animation right, but I'm going to finish those projects as well. Expect another update in the next couple weeks that will deal with that problem directly.

In the immediate future, I will likely swap to the Patreon voted "I am small" short to give myself a break from this dance animation. If I can't finish that by Thursday, expect some art to be posted instead. The Trendy short WILL be completed, but I want to pace myself now.
