Is the Degrassi Set Abandoned?!
Is the Degrassi: TNG set abandoned?
I visited the filming location for Degrassi: The Next Generation and filmed what it looks like today, intercut with scenes from the show in those exact same spots.
The property is now privately owned, but I was able to get inside and see what it's like now. It's tough to compare, because so much life lived on this set and now it's just.. gone!
The Dot, the houses, the classrooms… all gone. The space has been completely transformed, with rows of cars and trucks where those locations once stood. Even JT’s memorial garden has been paved over and covered so more trucks could fit inside.
We also explore other locations that Degrassi used around Toronto to film their show. Including Bianca's dance scene in Dundas Square, Toby's car breaking down on Bartley Drive, Fiona's loft on Queen Street and more.
The TNG set can be a sad place to visit, but these spaces still hold so many memories! 🩷

Really memorable building that was utilized as degrassi community school on the next generation and next class.
Thank you for this. It's so sad. I wish that DNG building wouldn't have turned into Joey Jeremiah's used car lot. (Lol) It would had been nice to had made it into something for fans to visit. At least have the Degassi Panther area open to where fans can still take photos. 💙
Right, I wish they knew just how big of a deal their building was!!
This makes me so sad, but I know we can't hold on to things forever! I wish they had turned it into a museum or something! That would be so iconic!
Me, too! It makes me so sad
