Monsterdale: Suggested Mods & Tutorial

This tutorial is mostly for players who downloaded the save file before April 2023 and who don't want to lose their progress. They are creating their own Monsterdale using the tools & tutorials of the last 4 posts. Players who started playing the updated save file in April might still want to use this mod to avoid random townies, but it is less important.

This mod, if used properly, can be of huge help to all of you in playing the fantasy save file.

1. Download the mod, unzip the files and place in your mods folder.

2. Download lots of monsters from the #Monsterdale on the EA gallery or from the spreadsheet into your LIBRARY (My library tab) also known as your TRAYFOLDER. Very important: Only download monsters you haven't yet placed in your save file.

3. Cntrl + Shift + c to bring up the cheat bar. Type: testingcheats true

3. Shift + Click on the mailbox of any monster in Monsterdale. Select from the Carl's Guide SSFT menu / settings: Tray Sim Share Settings: Import from Tray on Startup On. The default setting is "On" when this mod is installed.

4. The sims in your Library and Trayfolder will now be used instead of the game generating random NPC's or townies.

Tip! Teen Monster Sims who are marked as "uplayed" (the green plumbob is unselected in the "Manage Households Menu") and who don't have a job can be chosen / selected by the game to show up as classmates in Monsterdale.

1. Download the ALL CHEATS fix mod from Twisted Mexi.

2. DO NOT unzip and extract the files. Place the entire folder into your mods folder as is.

3. The cheats that help you select specific roles for specific sims (in particular High School staff) will now be available to you.

4. Find the cheats here. Please note: the cheats will not work without the ALL CHEATS fix mod.

5. Do not let the sims travel. After entering the mod for a selected sim, go to "Save and go to manage worlds". Make sure the applicable sim is selected in game mode when entering the cheat.

I preferred using the no mods way as I found this way too finicky.
