Ciudad Futura: A time traveler's tale
Soldiering on to get all the updates for Ciudad Futura up so I can release Ravenwood / The Elven Woods. If you've been playing the Ciudad Futura update, you can discard these posts completely. However, it is still fun to sometimes use them for gameplay ideas , lore and a deeper dive. It can still add to your enjoyment, but I just don't want anyone to be confused. These posts are for old players of the save file who are or will be updating their save files manually.
Are there humans in the save file? Yes, some relics of human civilization remain. Elves and fairies study these remains and are sometimes fascinated with what they discover. Hazard Harbor is filled with humans who survived the apocalypse, but this is an undiscovered world for elves, fairies and gnomes. Pockets of travelling and clairvoyant human folk remain though, their caravans are scattered throughout the save file. Some are magical, some have other special powers or skills, some are circus folk and some are fortunetellers.
Ciudad Futura introduces another way that humans show up on this time line! Alejandro Martinez, a pre-apocalypse scientist & adventurer (human) accidentally stumbled on a way to travel in time. His old studio in Ciudad Enamorada was gone in the future. Isolated and confused, Senor Martinez found, in its stead, an old & abandoned museum of his once human civilization. This place, though oddly, is the closest thing to home. Here, he forges a life for himself in the future, continuing to learn and explore with his faithful dog by his side. Explore & forge friendships: learn about the future or join the resistance movement (Journey to Batuu). Fall in love in Ciudad Futura and make a new life for yourself.
