Restored Mine of Phandelver - Updated Map Pack!
Almost 6 years ago, I had created the FOUND Mine of Phandelver map, a restored version using assets, styles and conventions common to that time. Over the years, all of those have changed and I'd released a Revised version of the original Wave Echo Cave.
Now, I am very happy to present the Revised version of the Restored Mine of Phandelver, a version of the map AFTER the party has completed the adventure and cleared the mine of its unsavory hosts.

How would I use a dusty old mine?
Have your players take up residence in the mine, living in the section devoted for the visiting mages, or in one of the barracks chambers, and use it as a base of operations.
Have your players go on a quest to find a dwarven clan willing (and able) to relocate to the mine and once again have dwarven clansmen walking its long abandoned walls.
Find people to work and operate the mine and have the party collect a piece of the action for liberating it.
Use the mine as a potential source of precious metals or rare resources the party can use to craft magic weapons, armor or other items as they continue their quests/adventures.
Here is a great illustrated scene of the new Mine Entrance, by Ha Art:
My efforts to restore the Lost Mine of Phandelver to its glory days assume that someone (preferably a dwarven clan) eventually is invited to occupy and operate the mine. As many of the old denizens were chased out, restoration efforts began (which could be a quest in and of itself by the party) to return the mining operation to its former self.
Here is a look at the revised map itself:
The Restored Mine contains:
Main Entry – At the south of the map, the tunnel has been excavated and a lift now exists that allows larger shipments to arrive and interface with the front office of the mine. This will eventually link to another map depicting the new mine entrance, featuring a small outpost, the upper end of the lift, the front gate and surrounding landscap.e
Southern Barracks – Near the main entrance, a small barracks houses some dwarven guards.
Weighing Chamber – Across from the southern barracks, a chamber designed to weigh ore, pay out coin to the miners, record transactions and move the ore to smelting has been erected.
Southwest Entry – The tunnel and cavern that eventually linked into the Lost Mines has been converted into a secondary entry, with a crane, staircase and guard station set up to handle visitors, imports and exports.
Dwarven Fungi Farm – The toxic fungi was eliminated and fresh, healthy fungus grown with the aid of a bit of magic, to now provide the colony with a good source of daily nutrients, in addition to the goods they receive from trade.
Central Barracks – North of the main entry, a small barracks houses some dwarven guards.
Dwarven Kitchen & Storage – East of the Central Barracks lay the kitchen & storage for the mining colony.
Starry Cavern & Visitor Suites – In the starry cavern, the building housing visitor accommodations has been refurbished and can now house almost 10 visitors.
Forge of Spells – The famous Forge of Spells has been returned to its former glory, with a small library, work tables and storage room (north) added.
Great Feasting Hall – Cleared of the original carnage, this hall now contains room for over 50 people for celebrations, feasts and gatherings.
Smelting Chamber – With a new riverbed hewn to bring water (again) to the Smelting Room, the Waterwheel is back in action and pumping the bellows to smelt fresh ore brought from the mine.
Northern Barracks – West of the Smelting Chamber, a small barracks houses some dwarven guards.
Natural Areas – Several natural chambers created by the earthquake remain open, but now have proper lighting, bridges and equipment to navigate.
Dwarven Temple & Chambers – the once proud temple has been restored, as have been the adjoining chambers, which now house a small group of guards and the head priest.
We also have a great new sprite depicting a Dwarven Bergmeister of the restored mine by Katsudon Art, whether it be the leader of a dwarven clan that comes to take ownership of the location, or perhaps a steward hired by the PC's to manage affairs while they are off adventuring.
As we have begun doing with some of the more recent maps, I've also put together an NPC Card for Oro Silversong, providing you with someone you can use should they fit your narrative and plans for the mine.
I hope you can use it to create some fun new adventures and memories in a familiar and nostalgic location!

I just upgraded my Membership when I read through this post! It all looks terrific, and that NPC card is one of the best-formatted ones I've seen. Bravo!
Thanks, Andy! The card generation tools will soon be available to Patrons, as well! =)
Man this is awesome! I wish I had this when I ran Lost Mines last year! Great job!
Beautifully done. Will use this eventually. Small typo: Oro's Title on the NPC Card is Bergmeister of thte Mine [...[
Thanks! Will get that fixed.
I love resotred versions of dungeons. They're great for showing players progress and establishing potential bases
Absolutely! It makes the world seem more real and immersive with real consequences (and rewards) for their actions and decisions.
Amazing. This will be useful as my characters are currently on a quest to recover a staff forged in the restored Wave Echo cave forge by the Rockseeker brothers. The staff was stolen by a pit fiend and is an artifact-level item and capable of destruction on a universal scale. Will be nice incorporating this epic version of the cave in their upcoming Tier 3 & 4 adventures.
Sounds awesome! I hope they enjoy it!
Any chance of a restored tresendar manor from phandelver?
It already exists! You can grab here: https://www.patreon.com/morvoldpress/posts/free-map-pack-1-64648731
