Item Illustrations
This month's item illustrations were built with the recent Chult Colosseum Dino Races in mind, providing a variety of armor, equipment, weapons and consumables that may be used by the riders and accompanying mounts during the races. I'm intending to weave some of those into the small mini-game rule set I am working on for the races themselves, so keep an eye out for that document in the future!
The item illustrations were done by Steven Bell.
The highlighted item is the Scepter of M'bala -- this fearsome scepter has been carved from the massive bone of a fallen dinosaur, its handle wrapped in lengths of brown leather and adorned with brass bands. The scepter's head resembles an aggressive dinosaur, maw open wide and red, ruby eyes glaring forward.

This artifact requires attunement and provides a variety of benefits to its owner.
Advantage on Animal Handling checks involving dinosaurs.
You can cast Speak with Animals (dinosaurs only) at will.
As a Bonus Action, you can issue a magical command to up to [3] beasts or dinosaurs you can see within 120 feet.
Targets must succeed on a Wisdom save or become Charmed for 1 minute
While charmed, the creatures obey simple commands (i.e. Dash, Attack, Turn Stop, etc...)
Creatures can repeat the save at the end of each turn
NPC Portraits & Tokens
This month's NPC illustrations were designed with the Chult Colosseum Map Pack in mind, providing a variety of potential Dinosaur Riders, a Reptilian Cook and perhaps some NPC's that could be found in the Gamemaster's Lodge.

There are also [7] scenes included, by various artists, and I particularly enjoyed this one depicting the village of Riverton Hollow, by Mondcuow.
