[Mod] CPS Overhaul & Foster Home - Sims 4
In which Sims can try to get back children taken away by CPS, report neglectful parenting, foster children, surrender their children to the foster home, and more.
I know this one's been a long time coming.

August 12: update to Toolbox .ts4script and CPS Overhaul .package & .ts4script
- Fixed a problem with beds being counted is missing in cases where all children are babies or teens
- fixed a problem with baby needs not always being assessed properly
-Added a setting regarding the money requirements of the CPS investigative visits, Per request
-Tweaked the death setting so that Teens living alone qualify for death even if setting is off (because a CPS intervention didn't quite make full sense in that case)

FULL CONFLICTS:
No known conflicts at the moment of writing this, but some could exist.
SETTING CONFLICTS:
If you use MCCC, do NOT turn on its setting to place neglected children in households, as it conflicts with this mod (for obvious reasons). (You're not missing out by doing this, since this mod has its own systems for that).
Override info for modders:
trait_ghost_hunger: was obligated to override it due to SimData
the "rescue" interactions for neglected children: since I am heavily changing that system, these I had to bulldoze and remodel
DOWNLOAD & Installation:
1 - remove files from previous versions, if any
2 - REQUIRED: Lumpinou's Toolbox Library-Mod.
If you don't already have it, grab the REQUIRED "Lumpinou's Toolbox" Library-Mod here (alt: here), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder, NO DEEPER.
3 - grab the .package file and ts4script file from this post (link below), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder.

Hi, Sims who don't have partners or don't live with them normally can make all the decisions by themselves in the cps mod; can you please specify context a little more and what interaction you're trying to do?

Love the mod, would love to have the ability to play as 1 or multiple sims in the actual foster home, maybe be able to build it as well!
Forgive me if this is already a feature but would you consider adding cheats to add relationship bits for foster parent/child? Additionally, how does this affect RPO (specifically the adoption module)?
Hi, unfortunately, that is not a good idea as the statuses are linked to the systems and not just ornamental, so having the statuses without the rest of the system could cause inst instability
This may be a silly question but im curious... With the new Toolbox file at the bottom that is required for this mod. Is this in conjuction with the orignal toolbox mod? do we need both? or is the new version toolbox updated for all of your mods? Sorry silly question but a little unclear! Thank you!!

I've updated my mods but unfortunately the CPS overhaul is causing my game to crash repeatedly. I've read the mod description, noted the MCCC conflict and I have the toolbox installed. Can anyone help? What am i doing wrong? this is great! the only thing I would love to see is if a family adopts a child through child services, if they can later tell the child they were adopted. I'm not seeing that come up in my gameplay with a child from child services (I also have the adoption mod), but maybe am doing something wrong.
Hello, I don't see my previous issue. My sims kids were removed because the mom was mean, They divorced and she moved out, now it is saying he need rocks group small 01 to get the kids back???
Hi, small rock 1 is due to old and broken mod or cc from other creators in your folder. I don't know exactly which files can cause it but you might find some info by googling, as this was a big problem some years ago so it might be documented somewhere

(I use wicked, RPO, adeepindigos mods among others) For me I’m experiencing an issue where my sims had 2 twin infants taken away by CPS due to low hunger. they’ve done everything needed to get them back but CPS is refusing saying there’s ‘one more thing’ they need to do (which is blank/a dot? in my notifications). I have tried buying extra beds, having the parents attend the max workshops/counseling available, buying a toy box but to no avail.

Hello, do you want us ot comment issues here? I left the settings as is for a one time visit, let teh child's hunger drop adn hygeine and no cps visit.
Hi, the trigger moment for hunger failure is the same as unmodded so make sure it got to that point (lowest red level) then let me know what you observe
I am having an issue. My sim is fostering and the social worker came by and gave my sim a warning but it did not specify what the warning was for. Now my sim can't foster anymore and I dont know why.
Hi, receiving a warning is likely why the sim is not allowed to bring in more foster children at the moment. For the cause of the warning, it should have been listed in the agents' conclusion; unfortunately we can't troubleshoot it once finished. If you want you can cheat away the trait of having had a warning
Early access, means possible bugs! I know this, I just wanna make sure I'm not doing something wrong? everything (i think) comes up in the pie, but the CPS worker does nothing. he just stands outside, and there are no CPS interactions with him on the pie menu...
Hi, can you check your installed files, for example with a mod Hound scan, and also check that your game is up to date? Nobody has had that problem during the group testing. Lemme know if those checks show anything. Next step would be to try another lot / family

Hi, 'small rock' thing is due to a mod or cc not by me which has been broken for six years, unfortunately I don't remember which, you likely would have to 50/50 or submit a mccc config log in the mccc discord server
I also re-joined because of this mod My computer screen broke so I just got my new laptop yesterday just in time for this mod to come out sad thing about breaking my screen is I lost all of my mods so re-building is rough, but your mods are a must!

Im having a few issues as I think I may have a conflicting mod. Do you know what may be conflicting or is it trial and error on my part to see which it might be? Good idea for a mod though can't wait to use it to its full potential! :)
Could anyone help with this? The mod works to the point where cps gets called on my sim but no agent comes for a visit and then same with the hunger method, it says my child is being whisked away but no one comes

This is great. I wonder if you would consider finances as a small factor. Having $10,000 as a must is alot for some rtr challenges. Not having a lot of money doesn't mean you are unfit and the child should be taken if all other boxes are checked. What is percentage of finances factor into removal?

Wow, this mod has SO much breadth AND depth. Your writing in it - all the buffs and interactions - are so well done, so full of accurate and varied feelings. Bravo Lumpinou- you've pulled off a big swing (that's an Amercanism from baseball - it means you took on a big task and pulled it off well)!
