[Misc.] Patch Status + What's New

1. PATCH STATUS

Yesterday's patch did not affect any of my mods, yay!

(Reminder that for non-pack-related patches, which tend to be small, I don't always make a post to avoid spamming when attention isn't needed, unless things broke (in which case attention is needed). BUT even when all is fine, I indicate the status on the top of the Mod Index page here on patreon, and of course on each mod listing of my Mod Hound page, I confirm the status as fine. )

--> In case of doubt on the status of one of my mods, you can always consult 🔗 my Mod Hound page or do a scan of your mods folder on the same site.

2. ABOUT AUTO-SAVE & MOD TROUBLESHOOTING

If you use the autosave feature: when you are doing certain mod troubleshooting tests (such as loading without mods to check if an issue is caused by a mod, loading with only one mod installed to check for conflicts, doing 50/50 with your mods, etc) - keep in mind to turn off autosave or to reload exclusively from the non-autosave slots. Saving without mods installed erases the mod data from the sims loaded.

3. OTHER STUFF

A/ CPS OVERHAUL & FOSTER HOME MOD:

Now in the broader Beta stage 🔗 here. It's been a long road and it's good to have almost arrived. Sun tier, feel free to try out the beta and share feedback / suggestions etc. Y
--- You can learn more about this mod's features and systems on the 🔗 description page.

B/ OTHER OTHER STUFF

I'm copying the below from an older "what's going on / upcoming" post because it's all still valid.

"CPS Overhaul & Foster Home" took longer to smooth out than I expected, hence the rest hasn't moved forward at the pace I hoped. But we're nearly moving on now :)

  • As the first step in a series of upcoming structural changes to RPO Collection, the way its text is distributed has gone from "all text is contained in core" to "shared text is in core, and mod-per-mod text is in each mod" (this change will be published in the next update of the collection).

    • If you are a player: this change will be INVISIBLE to you and you don't have to worry about it.

    • If you are a mod translator and have translated RPO Collection, this change affects you. Read 🔗this post for more info.

  • New info sheet and ways to check your mods for updatedness: a tutorial and new tools to answer requests of some of you for more ways to access certain status info. This stuff is in proofreading and testing for now but you'll hear more very soon.

  • Little additions to my modder tools, which I'm always fond of working on

Regarding the "Extra Opinions" addition to RPO Mods: as shown and announced in previous posts, this would continue development after CPS overhaul is released. Working on CPS overhaul and modding tools, so no further progress yet on this.

That's it for today : D

Thank you to my Patrons for making my mods possible,

Stay cool and Enjoy your Sims and stories! :)

Very excited for this mod. When do you think its going to be released?

L
Lumpinou · July 23, 2026

Hi, no idea precisely, people need to playtest it so that issues cz be found and fixed before a full on release, so it depends on that more or less
