Goblin Cleanup Review -- Komplete with Kari

Good evening, dear patrons. I have some new content for you, while you wait for the next video! I apologize for the delay, by the way. I'm afraid real life got a bit in the way, but I promise I haven't disappeared on you!

Kari Lalonde, is both a dear friend of mine and a video game completionist (can I say that?) who has 100% completed w/ all achievements hundreds of games on Steam, including, quite recently, Silk Song! I've been considering a new segment, or perhaps spin-off, for Moon Channel involving more general video game content, so let me know what you think about this article she wrote, on 100%ing a recent indie game release called GOBLIN CLEANUP.

You can find Kari's review of Goblin Cleanup below:

And you can check out Goblin Cleanup, here:

Thanks to Team17 for the keys provided for review!

Let me know what you think! She's considering voicing these segments, too! As for the next video, I should have it ready before the end of next week so keep an eye out. Thank you all, as always, for your incredible patronage. <3

It's a perfectly fine video game review, but without some kind of commentary on how Goblin Cleanup connects/contrasts with the world, culture, the legal system, or other games at large, I'm not quite sure I understand how this would be a good fit for Moon Channel. Maybe on a second channel? Or maybe with some of that commentary added, or if it were inserted as part of a larger video with that commentary? Or, dare I say it, maybe just trimmed down to be a short? Having played the demo for Goblin Cleanup, reading how the gameplay works was a little tedious, but I imagine that with gameplay video illustrating it during the voice-over, it would be fine. I imagine that Kari voicing her own opinions would also make it more engaging in the video form. Since it looks like completionism would be sort of her "angle" for reviews, I think it would be nice to speak more about how long completing everything takes (or could take, with different play habits), as well as how well it flowed between the early-game, mid-game, and late-game stages (if indeed those stages exist in the game in question), and about how satisfying/unsatisfying certain achievements are to reach. There's a little bit of this there already, but perhaps it could be fleshed out a bit more. I really love the recommend/not-recommend plus appealability rating idea. So often, I choose games regardless of whether they deserve a high number score for being well-rounded, masterfully crafted, AND fitting the reviewer's tastes. I want the unique ideas, art, or gameplay that appeals to me, even if the game has some flaws. And everyone has their own values for what they look for in a game; I feel Kari's review tackled this variability exceptionally well by speaking to the game's strengths and the types of players that might or might not enjoy them.
