0.5.2 Devlog 5
Hey again. It's not the start of the month, why am I here?!? I'm trying something new and giving devlogs at quicker intervals. We'll see how it goes.
As mentioned in a previous Devlog, I've been improving and updating some render capabilities. A couple weeks ago a commission of mine came in and finally allowed me to....transcend. Okay okay. Not that crazy, but from my perspective it's pretty great.
I kinda wish I knew that I was going to show them off, so I could make decent before and afters, but I didn't so these are just a few that I used to hone in.

The girls have more....life in their skin now, and it comes with a whole boatload of post processing improvements as well. It's minor on the surface, but for me on the artist side, it's huge!
Unfortunately....these improvements took a big chunk out of my development days since they had to be applied and fine-tuned for every single character. I couldn't rush through this, because they HAVE to be perfect. That's done now, though, and work has been going forward at a good pace.

What's next? Keep hammering through these scenes. With the delay, I'm gonna miss my previous estimate, but that's okay 'cause it's still coming soon!

Keep in mind, I have an older monitor. It's not even 2K. 1086 I think. Honestly the lighting in the afters look like a softer focus. Lym's hair in the before looks crisper, more detailed, as does everything else. The befores look more detailed while the afters look like the same pics with a softer focus. Looking back, the lighting on the dining table definitely looks better in the after.
What does it say about my middle-aged eyes (or my monitor?) that the Befores look just as good to me as the Afters? Okay, the lighting did look better in the middle two shots, but otherwise they all looked good.

Yeah the after def looks better than the before. The lighting seems much more natural now as do the shadows? What I can say with my non existent art skills.
Not just glazing cuz u asked us to, the lighting definitely looks better in the afters and like u said, girls look much more alive. Keep up the great work Cryo!
