Inquisitor Trainer: Work Report + Artwork
Guys!
As I mentioned in my previous progress report, I've been focusing more on finishing the artwork for the Best Heretic Ending this week. One of the artworks I've already finished shows The Lord of pleasure watching over the brothel from above, absorbing all the lust and pleasure generated by the activities happening inside.
But why is she doing this? Well, the more people indulge in pleasure and debauchery, the more energy they generate to feed Slaneshiii. The concept is pretty similar to what happened to the Eldar long ago. When an entire civilization became so consumed by pleasure and endless indulgence, all that accumulated energy eventually gave birth to Slaneshiii and made her grow even more powerful.
And now, I want to show how something similar is slowly beginning to happen in the Undercity. If its people continue to drown themselves in excessive pleasure, something that initially seems enjoyable could eventually become the very thing that leads to their destruction.
The problem is, all of this is incredibly abstract!
And that's exactly what makes this artwork so challenging for me. How do you even visualize a being that feeds on lust, pleasure, and excessive desire?
The Chaos God's appearance is just as complicated. She's neither male nor female, but rather an ambiguous combination of different gender characteristics, all blended into a single being. With horns, of course. And for some reason, everything has to be purple.
Anyway, I've hidden the NSFW artwork behind the patron-only section to comply with Patreon's guidelines. Enjoy!
Next artworks I'm working on:
Kivella kills the Magus. This artwork is for the choice where the player decides to eliminate the Magus with Kivella's help.
Kivella kidnaps the Magus and delivers her to Lirieth. For the other choice, the Magus will be taken to Lirieth, the Dark Eldar, for a little... special treatment. Lirieth will feed on the pleasure mixed with his pain to maintain her youth and beauty.
Anyway, aside from the artwork, I'm also still working on the narrative flow for the Best Heretic Ending.
As it turns out, the storyline is much more complicated than the Loyalist Path. There are more stages to go through, several choices that lead to different consequences, and everything needs to make sense and connect naturally. So I still need more time to finish and polish the whole thing.
Because of that, I'm not sure I'll be able to get the bug hunt build ready by October 25, as I originally planned. There's a chance I'll just release the update at the end of the month instead, so I can make sure everything is properly finished.
But we'll see how things go! If I can finish everything sooner, that would be even better.
Alright, that's all for this progress report!
See you in the next update, guys!
