Modding Diary - Dilated Cardiomyopathy + open heart surgery?!

hi guys! hope you all are doing well!

the last two weeks I continued to work on the health exam interaction. For this initial release babies could have dilated cardiomyopathy, you can also give this interaction to babies manually by shift clicking on them

After the exam the doctor will state their diagnose and you will get a sad moodlet along with a bottle of medication.

you can click on the baby and give them the medication as long as you have it in your inventory

their symptoms will be treated completely after 3 doses.

when getting a health exam for your baby there's a chance the baby's condition is much worse and would require immediate surgery. I created a special surgery table for this interaction.

you can click on the baby and select start surgery

And you will pick 4 doctors to perform the surgery

It took me some time but I was able to route all four doctors to the surgery table, whats left is just the animations

Im hoping to release a update for the childbirth mod very soon, in this update sims will:

  • be able to take their babies off lot

  • go to doctors appointments with their baby

  • babies will be able to receive physical and nasal exams

  • babies with Dilated Cardiomyopathy will receive medication and be treated at home

once the surgery animation is complete it will be released in an additional update.

there are still some loose ends I need to tie up but I am trying to get the update released next week ☺️sadly Im pretty sure im getting a cold, im gonna get as much rest as possible this weekend and hopefully be good for next monday 😫
