.‼️Take a picture of your child to use on the flyers before triggering the event
With this mod installed there's a small chance that your child or teenagers will run away from home, you can also trigger the event manually on them
You can try to find them by calling the police, giving out missing kids flyers or posting about them online.
A police officer will show up if you choose to call the police, you can give them details on the missing child and there is a chance they will find them within a few days. *It is likely this part requires get to work, I was not able to test due to the disable pack cheats being broken right now.
You can order missing kids flyer if you have a picture of them in your inventory, if you dont have a picture of them you can buy flyers without pictures in build and buy by searching "missing child" or "pandasama"
Once you have it in your inventory you can go out to give them to sims on the street, There is a small chance someone has seen them
While the child is missing you can use an interaction called "sit and cry alone " to process your sadness. There is a small chance the child might return or walk by the house while you use this interaction
You can also grieve together with another sim
To search for the child online you can click on the computer and select Post about messing child
You can come back and check your post periodically, There is a small chance someone might has information for you
You can use cheats to bring the child back, the police option will bring the child back on to your lot and the sighting call will take you to a different lot to find them. Sometimes I have noticed the child will walk past the house when you use the police to bring them back so be sure to be there to catch them. I know some players have issues getting NPCs on their lot, so if all else fails use MCCC to summon them and you will still be able to continue with the rest of the mod
Once you see the child again you can "Run to Child" to give them a big hug and welcome them back to the family
There are a total of 6 interactions you can use after they are back to talk to them about the event, The welcome back interaction features a custom animation
Final notes I was working on the option to allow sims to abandon their own babies in the abandon baby generator but noticed today there was a major bug after all (it keeps summoning the wrong sim as the birth parent)💀So sadly I will not be able to release the update for that at this time

Hello, im having a little bit of a problem and im a bit confused, so im here for some help if possible please, my child ran away, called police, did the online post, did flyers and was passing them out when someone said they think they had seem him.. so I clicked ok and it took me to the place he was at, and he is there but I dont know what do to get him home now??.. there is no interaction to take him home or anything.. what do I do next? Any help would be very much appreciated thanks
Hi what do you see when clicking on him. There should be a drama generator pie menu with an option called run to child

this happened autonomously in my game (i hadn't gotten around to triggering it yet). once i got flyers i couldn't call the police. i tried to put up flyers but NPC took them down? my child even called to come visit...but then left. i didn't know how to make them rejoin the family? i ended up cheating it to end bc i didn't know what to do. i didn't realise i could cheat the picture part. i just used a picture of the mum lieu. just some thoughts!
Hi! Thank you so much for your work, I love it, but I'm having a really strange problem with the mod. Out of nowhere, a little girl disappeared, and when I finally found her, instead of her returning to the household, a random older woman was added, and my Sim's daughter disappeared...
If I have the childbirth mod and the abandoned baby mod, then do I need to install everything from this one or just the one file that mentions runaway? When I go to put it in my mods folder it wants me to replace 3 of the files so I just wanted to make sure that I'm installing it correctly.

I’ve downloaded the mod but it isn’t showing in my game. When I open up sims 4 it shows drama generator on script but that’s it.?

For some reason my abandoned baby mod worked but the runaway child didn't. I'm on mac and just redownloaded the updated version of the mod. Is anyone having this issue?

I just downloaded it but I don´t see any text. I just got a pop-up with a pic. Everything thats about the Drama Generator I only see the icon but no text. I checked everything, but I don´t see any old file unless in the folder I downloaded ia an old one but I don´t think thats the case.

I think the mod is broken for me, when i try to do the run to child interaction after they're found, my sim doesn't move and the child ends up disappearing again.

Love your mods, they make my game so fun. Not sure if I did something wrong though, but every time my sims paint, it always comes out looking like a missing poster.
when I use the mod its all blank the symbols still show but there than that nothing

Hey! Question, is it normal for your child to keep running away from you? I found that kid twice and she disappeared twice…. 😩😩 Oh and I also tried in two different households but the child ran away and the family could care less lol. They didn’t receive buffs until I reported it. I didn’t receive the pop up or anything. I’m convinced the mod doesn’t like me 😭😭😭
That’s def not normal they are running away twice, they should have some sad moodlets when the child runs away

I’ve updated the Spanish translation, thank you for this incredible mod! https://www.patreon.com/posts/drama-generator-152121839 I also wanted to let you know that I've noticed the Sims always give an immediate answer about where the child is; none of them give responses saying they haven’t seen them. Also, the “Grieve Together” interaction doesn't appear. I've tried it with several partners, but the interaction never shows up.
My Sim is painting missing child posters. No matter what I have them paint it comes out a missing child poster.
Updating the mod will fix it

Amazing work as always! Thank you so much 💕 I’ve had a play through and just wanted to make you aware of a few little bugs, when a sim is painting they paint the missing poster, when a child is found they pawn will the dirt on them but that disappears when before my sim can get to the child. This is such a great addition to the mod I can’t way to see what you do next 💕
