Modding Diary - Runaway Child Reunion

Hi Guys! This week I worked on the reunion interaction when your sim end up finally finding their child. Sims have a chance of getting a possible sighting of their child after posting about their missing child online, passing out flyers, or getting a call from the police.😃

First of all I made the interaction that allowed sims to post about missing child on their computer.

Similar to the look for birth parent interaction in the abandoned baby module you can make a post and check back on it later, and there is a small chance someone will have a tip for you.

once you travel to the destination you should see the child on the lot, you can click on the interaction "run to child" to reunite with them. The child should also look slightly dirty from living outside which I will need to work on

We have a custom animation here where the parent will kneel down immediately and give the child a hug 🥺

And start checking their face and hands for any signs of injury

They are almost at the verge of tears for finally seeing their child again, but the child is slightly embarrassed even though they missed their parent as well

But finally they can hold back their feelings anymore and jumps into their parent's arms for a hug

and everyone gets a happy ending ☺️😂

once the child comes home they will also be able to greet the rest of the family members which I will work on next week. Im hoping to have this mode ready for release by the end of next week! I got a few loose ends to tie up and hopefully no more bugs to fix 😂 See you guys next week!
