Modding Diary - Adoption Truth For Older Children And Giving Fostered Baby Back

Hi guys! Hope you all are doing well ☺️Im wanting to release this mod next week so Im really trying my best to GET EVERYTHING DONE 💀💀💀

This week I worked on the adoption truth interaction for older children (teen to adult)

The animation for this interaction is not ready yet so here's a screenshot of my sim shrunken to a child lol😭😭

Understandingly the adopted child is going to be very upset

and depending on how the adoptive parent feels about the child they will have two different moodlets

There are 5 interactions you can use to try and get them to forgive you

but be warned they might not gonna have anything nice to say for a long time lol

The adopted child will get one of 5 sad moodlet after their talk

And the Adopted parent will also get a mirroring moodlet depending on how they felt about the adopted baby(in this case my sim didnt want to adopt)

But eventually they will forgive the adoptive parent

And you will be able to have nicer conversations with them

I also worked on an interaction so that adopted children can write a post to search for their birth parents

You can come check on the post once in a while to see if theres any leads but the chances of finding real leads are low

Then I jumped over to finish the foster parent scenario. If you choose to foster the baby earlier you might get a notification like so at some point before the baby age up to a child

A worker will show up to get the baby, You can ask about the baby's new home and they will give you an update on what is going to happen

And you can hand the baby back to CPS

The baby will be removed from your household immediately and disappear soon after

Sims who grew attached to the baby will get a sad moodlet

Sims who did not grow attached will be glad its over lol

annnnnd that is all I have for this week. I honestly cannot believe its almost the end of the month already! where did time go 😭😭

Besides minor clean up I still need to work on having birth parent/blood relative have a chance of reaching out to you or the adopted child. If you haven't told the child they were adopted yet they will be very upset. And I will also need to work on a reunion interaction that allows the adopted child to meet their parent/relative. Really hope it doesn't give me too much trouble 😔🙏🙏
