Modding Diary - The Final Stretch....

Hi guys! Hope you all are well!

The update is super close to being done, as a matter of fact all i have left so far is play testing. Let me show you what I did this week!.🤓

first of all i did the water birth animation for triplets

as well as the matching moodlets

then I worked on and completed the "view result with" interaction that allows sims to find out their pregnancy result with their partner. Im super excited with how this turned out.

and here is the animation for the negative result: the pregnant sim will approach their partner and take out the pregnancy test

they will turn to the side and look at it together

after a brief pause they realize there isnt a second line

they pull the test closer for a better look and confirms its definitely negative

the interaction ends in a small disappointment

and then you will get the normal notification that tells you your sim isnt pregnant

both sims will get one of three moodelts. *if either sim doesnt want children (from RPO) they will still play the same animation however the moodlet will indicate that although they acted disappointed, they are secretly relieved

here is what the animation for the positive test looks like:

the partner will realize its a positive test first and burst into tears

They look at each other as in disbelief

and they go in for a tight hug

they would share a few kisses and are over joyed by the news

the interaction ends with the partner hugging the pregnant sims belly

after the interaction ends you will get the usual notification confirming the pregnancy

and each sim will get one of three moodlets.. again the moodlet will be different if they secretly don't want children

Unrelated to this update: I hear you and I am working on making the childbirth mod modular, it is a gradual process and I am making the gender reveal module a separate in this upcoming update. This way people who dont want gender reveal can leave it out. Eventually the gender reveal module will be BGC but that is something I still need to work on down the line.
