Modding Diary - Baby Loss Moodlets

Hi guys hope you all are well this week!

It will just be a short update today as i spent most of the week fixing bugs and writing scripts.

Last week I mentioned I ran into a bug where the stillbirth baby was still appearing at the hospital looking healthy as ever 💀 well the good news is surprisingly I was able to come up with a script that fixed it. I say surprisingly because I honestly had no idea how in the world I was gonna fix it last week, but somehow I figured it out. I was shocked when it finally worked and low key felt like a genius. 😎

then when I was testing some other features I realized the "Dedicate to baby" interaction suddenly stopped working 💀this is the one im talking about⬇️

I have not touched it in weeks, and the only explanation I could think of was that something must have changed in the Enchanted by Nature pack. I tried fixing it, but I couldn't get it to work exactly as before; however, I did find a compromise.

Previously, I was able to hide the relationship with the deceased baby in the relationship panel and still make the baby selectable in the "Dedicate to Baby" interaction. However, after investigating, it seems the interaction becomes hidden if the relationship is hidden. Unfortunately, the only solution is to keep the relationship visible in the relationship panel for the deceased baby.

As shown in the screenshot below, C and V are twins, and C is the deceased baby, but I have to keep him visible in the relationship panel.

And they can be selected in the "Dedicate to baby" interaction as long as they are visible.

After dealing with this fun and unexpected bug I made some moodlets for twins and triplets birth. Here are a few examples but there are a total of 20 moodlets

And that is all I have for this week. I think I'm done with all the scripting for this update.

Next week I will work on making some moodlets for the partner sim, adding HCR and RPO compatibility, add postpartum complications that kills the pregnant sim, and work on some cheat interactions.
