Cornbread!!!!!
I absolutely love this movie! I love how one twin who was unable to love his woman because of timing and race issues in the south was able to live with her because they became vampires and the other twin getting his woman and child back because he fought to the very end. I thought it was quite poetic each of their endings. I also like to believe the reason why the main vampire was so intent on Sammie was because he was trying to reconnect with his ancestors through music but was unable to do it himself because of his lack of soul. Add the final message that music is neither good nor evil, but just a conduit for our emotions is brilliant.
Hallowbeans Suggestion: ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ (1983). VERRRRRRY Fall, very creepy. 🍂 Possibly the darkest movie Disney ever made (and it is on Disney+ streaming right now; it was unavailable for many many years). 🎃 🎡 🎩
Can't say this enough. ASHLEIGH! THIS IS THE MOVIE!!! watch it now before it's gone again for YEARS!
Cornbread
The made up money is plantation money. Slavery was “illegal” but they paid the farm workers with this fake money that they could only use in the plantation stores or farms, so all the money goes right back to the worst people 😵💫
Great movie! Although I also liked it the first time I saw it, when it was From Dusk Til Dawn. Think about it. Two brothers on the run from the law hide out in a southern juke joint where one of the brothers becomes a vampire while the other fights off the rest of them. Coincidence? Lol.
