HALLOBEANS FRANCHISE FRIDAY
I know these happen fast and if you're confused - don't worry - I am too. lololol
Here's a current run of Hallobeans thus far
10/2 Nightmare on Elm Street 4
10/5 A Quiet Place
10/7 Sinners
10/9 Paranormal Activity
10/12: AS OF RIGHT NOW Christine (close call but still a few days to vote)
10/14 Charlie Brown & Garfield double feature
10/16 THIS POLL - NIGHT VISION
SPOILERS FOR REACTS AND FEELINGS PAST THIS LINE
I need y'all to know ONE thing - we've had NO flops yet for me.
Now, NoES4 was not the best one of the franchise for me - but the series holds a special place in my heart because we started it during the very first Hallobeans. but this one was meh for me.
A Quiet Place - I woulda been dead so fast. If not for my loud mouth, then for my clumsy legs. If not for either of THOSE things - it would absolutely be because of farting. Loved it. Was invested the whole time.
Sinners - I agree with you all that it was not a night vision film. Incredible. Never felt too long for me. ALTHOUGH I have come to realize that I got confused during one part and got Smoke and Stack mixed up... so there are a few moments that my reaction is out of pure confusion but I eventually get it together. Loved it - both on the surface and the deeper connections of heritage and roots. I won't say anything else in fear of spoilers.
Paranormal Activity - was a little slow for me at first because my only other film with "found footage" is Blair witch and well... BUT I ended up getting more int this one because I believe in haunting and such. I had a good time - I could see (and hope) the sequels being better than this one.
That's as far as I've filmed so far!

I hope Hellraiser II can slip in the final tally.
I gotta toss in some options, in order of personal preference: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) The Devil's Advocate (1997) John Carpenter's Vampires (1998) Phantasm (1978) Bride of Frankenstein (1935) The Howling (1981) Candyman (1992)
Has Ashleigh ever seen Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight? I think that would be right up her alley...
You need to see Dog Soldiers.
Well... I wanted those James Bond reactions so much, I guess I went and conjured the wrong universe vibes or something, cursed it for everyone. Sorry The Evil Dead is now losing to Insidious. I like Insidious just fine. But why didn't it win out over Quiet, Paranormal, and Sinners? (Or why didn't Nope or X or Malignant?) If it was maybe The Mummy or Invasion of the Bee Girls or House of Wax losing to Insidious, I would understand. But... no, this is The Evil Dead. And A Quiet Place, Paranormal Activity, AND Sinners already are on schedule. Horror has been around for over 1 hundred and 25 years but why do people keep assuming the best of it is only 20-30 years old? I will never be able to wrap my brain around that. And, sure, I'm older than Rihanna and Taylor Swift and Adele so whatever. But I'm younger than Britney Spears and Beyonce and P!nk and Fergie. And I adore classic horror and 70's and 80's horror. So... make that make sense to "kids today" or whoever keep treating great horror like it's some kind of spider they have to squash...
I'm not gonna vote cause I have no strong feelings about this one but can't wait for the Sinners reaction. I loved it so much and have watched it multiple times and I don't usually like scary movies much at all cause I'm a baby. 😂
cmon insidious it's so cloooooose 😭
Insidious is way more scary than Evil Dead.
To be fair, I never get scared by ANY movies anymore. But The Evil Dead has scared a lot of YouTubers so far. Haven't heard a single reactor say it wasn't scary.
Evil dead has been done already i think
Watch her video on Evil Dead II - she explains the situation.
I'm so happy A Quiet Pkace won. I've wanted to watch it for years, but wanted to watch along with Ashleigh! So glad Paranormal Activity won, Happy Birthday to me! Now for this poll I voted for Insidious another one I've been waiting to watch, and Child's Play 2, there are some other good choices and it looks like whatever wins will be good, except for 1, which I won't name, as I'm not the biggest fan.
Really hope you can get to The Fly 1958. You won't regret it!
I rewatched that movie last year. It was... okay.
Freaks!!! Also, I have an extra copy of Eraserhead I'll donate to her!
I wanna see some more Saw Reactions. I love the Child's play franchise so i voted for that, though i know you didn't enjoy the first movie. Quiet Place 2 is also a good one too.
Well, it’s not gonna win, but at least Child’s Play 2 made a poll. I’m rooting for that one. I know she didn’t like the first one, but part 2 is way better.
How? What about it is even good? (I admit, I like all 7 of the other Child's Play movies- part 2 is the only one I don't like.)
Child's Play 2 was the best (for me) of the franchise so that's my first vote. I definitely think you should do Paranormal Activity 2 since you liked the first so much!!
Does she mean Evil Dead 2013? Because i thought she already saw the original trilogy?
The only way I will be okay if The Evil Dead doesn't win this poll is if Serial Mom wins one of the Wednesday spots.
ANoES4 is fun, and it's where the original run falls off. If you do another one I suggest you skip straight to "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" (1994).
Also, "Evil Dead" is probably the best of this list, but it is a lot rougher around the edges than the sequels you saw - less comedic and lower budget. If you still dig it, though, the TV show "Ash vs. Evil Dead" as a follow up is a lot of fun.
The Evil Dead 81 is way more camp then scary, If we want to see Ashleigh get scared Insidious needs to win.
If you talk to the people who saw The Evil Dead in the 80's and 90's, they will tell you stories you'll remember. They'll describe reactions that make people who thought Insidious was scary BLUSH. And walk away. The Evil Dead has scared people much more, historically, than Insidious. And back when it mattered. In the Insidious era, movies just push loud noises and cheap jumps. Scary movies mattered more in the 70's, 80's, and 90's.
So for a lot of people who are confused here, she's seen Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. She accidentally jumped into Evil Dead 2, thinking it was the first one. So no, she hasn't seen Evil Dead 1981.
Halloween 4… how are you not gonna watch “Halloween” during Halloween
Maybe there's another chance to watch that on the schedule before the month is over - but... what about Halloween III? I thought that was coming first...
A Quiet Place 2. Great movie, plus Ashleigh MUST watch the third movie, Day One, even if it's not for HalloBeans.
wow so it's just me and 40 other people who want to see Julie Delpy's boobs in An American Werewolf in Paris, huh?
Then... go watch them. They're out there / available *right now*.
Yes please - The Evil Dead (1981) - Evil Dead II (1987) - Army of Darkness (1992)
Ashleigh has already seen and reacted to both "Evil Dead II" and "Army of Darkness". However, she began the franchise with 2 and didn't watch the original 1981 entry, which is why it's on here.
So are we skipping Halloween 3? I mean no it doesn't have Michael Myers but its still a fun and scary movie!
Yes, it needs to go in order. Plus; Ashleigh might like Halloween 3, at least she would have bragging rights of seeing it.
Can't believe Elm St 4 beat Friday 4. If we do Evil Dead, I hope we get to do 2 too.
I think she's seen it already, because she's seen the other two.
Oh guys! She’s got to watch Insidious!!! She will get spooked! 😱
Ashleigh had to have seen Evil Dead (1981) already because she's seen the other two Bruce Campbell movies in the Evil Dead trilogy! I think she needs to redo the poll, and have something else take Evil Dead (81)'s place. I would suggest: Buried Alive, Anaconda (90s), Unfriended, Smile, Escape Room, The Grudge (00s), I Know What You Did Last Summer, or The Purge!
I checked her intro to the Evil Dead 2 video, she says that the chat convinced her that she doesn't need to see Evil Dead before Evil Dead 2, so she skipped Evil Dead
Insidious or Parnormal Activity 2 would be the best Night vision (or as I mentioned in a previous poll, you should wear a heart monitor). Evil Dead is just silly fun.
She's already seen Evil Dead 81.
INSIDIOUSSSSSS PLEASEEEEEEEE
An American Werewolf in Paris for the win!!!!

Was very confused because I was certain she had watched Evil Dead 2 and she has. Honestly, not sure we need to do the original. I could understand if it was the remake from the 2000s - it is very good. Pulling for Hallowee 4 - one of my favorite sequels with a kick-ass final girl.
Thank you; I had to go back and look at Tyler's list to be sure, but it is confirmed she's seen the second two, so I think she's seen the first one, but it was accidentally not put on the list.
Make it a double-feature and do both Evil Dead 1 and Evil Dead 2, the 2nd one especially!!! "...Groovy."
She's already seen the trilogy. I think she forgot.
I really hope OG Evil Dead wins!!!! Its such a great movie
She's already seen it.
Yes! I hope we watch the Evil Dead series
I think she forgot she's already seen them.
I think you'll find Evil Dead (and it's sequels) to be the perfect blend of horror and comedy. You are going to love Bruce Campbell!
She's already seen them, I think she just forgot.
The Evil Dead is my favorite franchise, not just of horror but in general.
I can promise PA2 scared me more than the 1st one 😅 Really don't see any bad choices on here...not sure Hellraiser II needs to be nightvision?
The original Evil Dead is the best of the entire franchise! And definitely voting for The Conjuring 2 and Insidious solely because I know how much of a James Wan fan you are.
I believe she's already seen Evil Dead.
Friday the 13th part 4 pleassssse
She should keep that one for Friday, November 13. Two weeks after Hallow-Beans, so not too out of season (Simpsons have done Treehouse of Horror episodes so late in November that it was almost December). And it’s actually on Friday The 13th.
I am only voting for A Quite Place 2 for the cat. 🤍🖤 The true star.
That’s actually Day one.
Like I said in a previous comment I am very into the Conjuring universe and all Conjuring. I actually met Lorraine Warren before and I have been to the original Warren museum before they had to close down
