FIRST TIME WATCHING: Attack on Titan S4E77

I'm really glad that you've been able to empathize & understand the nuance of Gabi's character so far. I had mentioned this in a post a few episodes back, but it's worth mentioning again that to this day there is a certain section of the Attack On Titan fanbase that legitimately despises her. Some seem to claim that it's because she unalived Sasha, others say she's annoying or dumb. In this episode it's completely spelled out for us that Gabi is now aware of the conditioning she was exposed to & the consequences of her actions (with the added symbolism of the cages & them being opened), yet some fans carry that hate beyond the shows end. To me, it reads as a lack of media literacy or emotional intelligence on their part, but I choose to ignore them regardless.

You don't have to watch 3 episodes in a row, and if you feel like you need to stop after 1 that's ok too. From here on out things start to get really rough, so please take care of yourself.

"Two Brothers" is... Probably my favorite TITLE of an episode... and absolutely... I can't say it's my favorite episode, it is so friking up there, man.

I love Gabi's Arch, man. We are all capable of being Devils. We are all capable of hurting another person. We are all capable of repenting from sin. We are all capable of growing into better people. That's why forgiveness is so important. That is a lesson I took from this show and try to live by every day.

HAHAAA! I love how creepy Yelena is. That turned into a meme instantly when this aired. She is crazy and unhinged and I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her, but I enjoy her character so much. Same goes to Floch.

Ohhh about Nile talking to Falco and that you didn't know he had a family... Don't feel bad, I didn't remember my first watch either, but we did know about his family. Back in season 3 when Erwin was put on trial and was just about to be executed and they pulled off a Coup D'etat, Nile was that one guy in the MPs that was ordered to seal off Wall Sina and he said: "I'm not doing that... my family is within Wall Rose. I'm essentially dooming my family by following your orders"

Hi Nat! I know you acknowledged this and that it’s probably not going to be the case, but just in case for whatever reason the stars align and your schedule happens to allow this, if possible episodes 78, 79, and 80 should be watched together.

That Yelena face that’s haunted my nightmares ever since 😭

If you see this, it’s a VERY GOOD IDEA to watch 79 and 80 together, which would mean watching 3 next week. And if you’re looking at the end of the season, the last 2 “episodes” are essentially a 2-1/2 hr “movie” finale. While you can watch them separately, it would be harder to split each one up unless someone knows timestamps that could break them up.

So here is our last chance to convince you to watch next 3 episodes in one go. It will be worth it.

Well… I’m leaving for Navy boot camp in 2 days so I guess I’ll be able to binge the rest of the reactions once I’m done lol.

i absolutely cannot wait for next weeks episodes! ive always liked how AOT is sort of perfectly set up at times. like you said, it would make sense for zeke to just go to eren himself but its built in a way that he cant. he has the biggest advantage being on the wall since he can protect eren and hold off the cart titan. the cart titan needs time to setup that canon and aim but zeke can do it so fast. if he gives up his position, theyre done. so, i never really understood the wording but armin was pretending, cause remember a few episodes ago he "cried" because he was "so moved" by yelena's ideology with eren and zeke but he didnt actually believe it. he was just trying to manipulate her and he tried that again this episode but something about his words made her realize that he was faking it and thats why she made that face, but she does need him and his group so she suppressed it. again, no clue what it was but its not a big deal overall. to be fair to niles, the most unlikable thing he did was go against erwin when eren and annie fought in the walls but he wasnt in the wrong. look at it from his pov. his squad was put in charge of leading eren to go face zachery, we are of course on eren's side but niles hasnt seen the things he can do, plus he was just following orders. and to find out that it was all a rouse, a trick that lead to eren being free, what choice did he have but feel betrayed and have to stand against erwin who was basically enacting treason. and i think part of the hate was that the military police had shown to be corrupt but we never actually saw that from him.

That Armin / Yelena situation was pretty funny though "WE HAVE TO HELP THE CRAZIES!" *immediate regret right behind him*
