FIRST TIME WATCHING: Buffy the Vampire Slayer S2E7
It's time for more Buffy! I tried to minimize the blur a bunch with this video, but let me know if this helps keep your copy in sync.
Also, I know some folks mentioned wanting me to indicate when a recap was over, since not all copies of episodes have recaps. I didn't receive a "previously on" recap with this reaction, so I never say anything in the video. The reaction just starts right off with episode 7.
As always, thank you so much for your support here on Patreon. Until the next one, stay golden! ✨

The first great episode .
Kinda wish Buffy was more of a priority..
Big thank you for switching up the filter it helps a lot and I loved the reaction can't wait for next week and another one.
Love this episode, and the conversation between Buffy and Giles at the end so much. One of my favourite moments of him being a father figure for her 🥹 And Buffy, having dealt with her friends and Angel lying to her or keeping secrets for multiple episodes, finally just wants the truth - and it’s painful! Which is why the funny little “Lie to me” scene at the end is so cute. But Giles is right, that’s just growing up I forgot how horrible Angel was with Drusilla’s turning 😬 definitely explains a lot! and yes, that was pre-getting-his-soul-back, important to remember 😁 my man is a mopey boy now
An evil angel movie would be great!
I love love love this episode. Do take note that every episode 7 of the series in each season is messy drama. The first 6 usually serve as fun one-off pallet cleansers of the previous season, then episode 7 sets up the Theme and drama of the rest of the season. Episode 7 = banger
So, this is when the show starts becoming more complex in its storytelling and exploring more of the themes that showrunners wanted it to. "You may not have a good choice, but you have a choice," is one of the central themes of the series. I also like the end where it's revealed that Spike kept his world and made him a Vampire. It makes no difference, he's dead and his soul goes to judgement. Ford as a vampire would have been dangerous with all the knowledge of Buffy that he had. I also really like his characterization. He's playing up like he's some diabolical villain so that he doesn't have to feel how afraid he is.
so the blonde vampire fan girl actually apears in several episodes across Buffy and the Spin-off over several seasons and is a great example of the shows way of handling characters, each time she shows up shes in a new situation but it makes logical sense from where we left her in the last appearance even if it was 2 or 3 seasons apart. its a great little micro-plot that makes the show feel more lived in. it does this with other reoccuring characters like Jonthan and stuff but still i think shes the best example.
Love seeing a reactor appreciate Jenny Calendar's legendary rizz. "That sounds like fun" to Giles is positively diabolical lol.
The funeral industry is very efficient in Sunnydale, they have lots of practice.
Wasn’t the guy who played Ford on Roswell? I’d recognize those ears anywhere
Yep. The main character I believe
Love the graveyard scene so much. Giles’ words are what a lot of us were wanting to hear from adults, whether we were slayers or not. RIP
Willow is the best! Her parents must trust her for her to have a door to the outside world in her room.
I look forward to Buffy Thursday more then I really should. Its great fun rewatching this series.
Too much caffeine? That could make you more vulnerable to the startle response from the jump scares.
Love when we get a new Buffy episode. Thank you soo much for not reading the log lines/descriptions, as things will get very spoilery and the rest of the series is not all fun/silly 1 offs. Enjoy!
Trust me; you will get to see Angel a bit more agressive later on. Rewatching this through your eyes, I can't believe how much of a teen girl Buffy really is with all the games. It makes me so glad I'm all over HS.
I'm 40 and I still have dreams that I'm back in high school missing homework or a test.
Can't wait to get home and out of this heat and watch this.
Happy "Buffy" Thursday, Natalie! 😊 This is another one of my favorite episodes of the season. We learn more Angel's past with Dru. And meet an old friend of Buffy's. Already looking forward to the episode reaction for next week. Have a great day today! Stay Golden! 💛
Another Buffy Day with Nat. Always something to look forward to 😊 "Good job rescuing all the morons" 😆
