can you please not keep the screen completely white? Its so difficult to syncronice then. Just would like to be able to see when a scene changes, so i can pause/unpause to catch up
Right now it feels overwhelming, and that's by design. How confused you feel right now is pretty much how the group feels. Confused, hurt, anguished, wanting answers from Eren, frustrated by the turn of events. It's a mess.
And done watching. You are keeping up perfectly fine. As I have said before - it's meant to be confusing. Just keep up what you are doing :)
Just begun watching and I have to say - you are looking absolutely stressed out during the intro xD
Can Mikasa become a titan? does she have "demon" blood after all? because, when she was little, she lived in a strange place, seem to be from outside the wall, and there were strange man. This is my first viewing btw.
idk if your first question had been answered yet in the show so i wont answer it but as to your other questions, mikasa had lived inside the walls her entire life, she just lived in the mountains inside the walls with very little people around.
Oh my god, Eren’s slicked-back hair era 😍! But also, oh my god, it’s Eren’s slicked-back hair era… 👁️🗨️👄👁️🗨️ Sasha and Connie both calling each other stupid and just being like “huh…” “eh…” 😭😭😭 those are my KIDS!! WHY!!!!!
(Repeating a comment I left on the other video just in case you don't see it) 2 things! 1, writer, not writers. Hajime Isayama is the sole writer of AOT. 2, remember Sasha's last words? "Meat?" Well, fun linguistics fact. She was saying "Nic" which yes, means Meat in Japanese, but it is also the start of Nicolo's name 😭 So she may have been saying "Nicolo" and not "meat" which is even more tragic 💔💔😭😭
this was disproven by the original version of the manga. while sounding the same, they are "spelled" differently in the original japanese version of the manga where she is very clearly saying her last words as "meat"
Happy Titan Tuesday Nat. Loving this season but the plot details are coming thick and fast now, both past and present. I'm trying to take it all in. Like you Nat I appreciate coming to our awesome Patreon's AOT wikipedia afterwards and catching up on all the info on the episodes 😊
One detail I think you forgot about is another aspect of the curse of ymir. In season 3 ep 21, Eren says, "if one possessing the power of the Nine Titans dies without passing it on, the power is inherited by a baby yet to be born by a Subject of Ymir". So your idea of Eren getting all 9 powers and then dying unfortunately wouldn't work.
That's what I though as well. I'm watching all this for the first time with Nat. She seems to miss a lot ><
editor might wanna reduce the fog next time cause it was really hard to tell where a scene was. so, with mikasa's tattoo, in the anime theres a scene that replaced a scene in the manga. in the anime we have a flashback with mikasa and her mother is showing her embroidery. that scene was originally supposed to be her mother telling her about her tattoo. im guessing it was changed because tattoos on a major character is a big no no in japan because of its real life association with the yakuza, and back then the studio didnt know that the tat would be significant. if eren died with all the titans then the titans would just randomly be spread out to different people with eldian blood, the titans wouldnt just disappear. and even if the smart titans did, theres still the problem of eldians being turned into brainless titans.
agree on the fog, also it felt like timer was a bit off
Surprised no one informed you of this yet, but this final season of AoT was animated by a different production company than the first 3 seasons, which is why everyone looks a bit different than what you remember. The art style in the final season actually more closely matches what the original manga looked like.
Hi Nat! You are following everything extremely well. Season 4 is extremely dense because it's giving a ton of context to everything that came before while setting up it's own twists and turns. I don't want to spoil anything but I will say that these upcoming episodes through 75 don't have a lot of action and despite that they are some of my favorite in the entire series. It goes so different than I thought they were setting things up.
You are doing totally fine following things, all things considered. One thing I would like to point out: If the Mikasa Hizuru connection felt like it came outta left field with little to no set up, it's only because it comes from a very very early chapter of the MANGA that got cut for time when adapting it into TV Anime because understandably, at the time it was presumed not super relevant to the current story at the time. Little could they have known where it would go.
I reassure you you are picking things up way better than most first timers hell even third time watchers still don't understand. You're doing good Nat remember to stock up on tissues
Post credit scene next episode btw. You understood every thing that happened well in this episode. This one in particular jumps around a lot. Eren was laughing back in the S2 finale when hannes died. The odm gear zeke had was the one he stole from miche in S2 ep 1. Also this whole show is written by only one person Isayama.
