Ymir's Jaw titan was weird looking because Ymir wasn't brought up to be a warrior. She was just an average joe who's pure titan happened upon a shifter and caught the power. So no cool mask and claws. Just a big mouth, sharp teeth and an old lady's physique. But what we saw in season 2 was in fact The Jaw Titan

ALL the Titan shifters have Powers, that's how they're shifters to begin with. You have to eat shifter to become a shifter, and take their titan's powers. There are 9 titan powers, so maximum 9 titan shifters.

I think the lore reason for why ymirs titan looked the same after eating marcel was the fact that she was a pure titan for over 60 years before turning into a shifter, she got her agency back and sharper teeth and claws but for the most part her titans appearance stayed the same.

Might be my favorite reaction to "is it Erin???" moment ever lol. Could see it in the eyes "IS IT?! BUT IS IT THOUGH? I THINK IT IS!" xD

When Ymir and the cult were pushed off the wall in S2, they were turned into pure titans. She was stuck roaming in that form for 60 years before she ate Marcel, which is how she became a titan shifter. She didn't have the bone mask of course, but there is a small detail that her teeth became sharper after inheriting the Jaw titan. Don't worry, nobody would notice that on a first watch, lol.

im not sure why but ymir's power didnt look like porco and marcel but she did change a bit. her teeth turned sharp instead of flat. they didnt send all the titan warriors because marley's power is only being held by the fact they hold titan users in their ranks, if they just gave all them away they would be at a disadvantage. reiner thought he was special, that he had made it to being the armored titan through his own will and strengths, but it was a lie. marcel lied to keep his brother safe and in doing so, condemned reiner. yeah, he wanted it but he thought it was through his own merits that he earned it. the guy who hung himself, first off, youre way too harsh on the dude. fear can really change a person and obviously he had guilt over it. dont be so quick to judge people. but anyways, reiner and bert took his story as a cover to better infiltrate the ranks. we see it in season one when someone asked them about their story, aside from the children part. i love the clues though that theyre not mountain people. like in season 2 when theyre just casually and obviously know how to play chess. how would two mountain boys know that? hehehe, you being confused at the end. hehehehe
