FIRST TIME WATCHING: Buffy the Vampire Slayer S1E5

The actor who played Giles also passed away recently. He was also in Ted lasso. As the douche bag ex husband who originally owned the team

Sadly Brendon(Xander) had some addiction issues after Buffy and when finally sober found out he had a genetic heart condition which was sadly what caused his death.

Wow it's been so great reliving these episodes haha

Nicky Brendon was less than a month away from turning 55 when he passed. He had a history of substance abuse and pretty severe heart problems. He had at least one heart attack a few years ago.

I haven't seen these episodes in so long. This is so fun to rewatch

I keep wanting to argue that the show has more heart than camp and it should be taken a lil more seriously, and then I see what the next episode is oh my godddddd bruh 😭

“If the apocalypse comes, beep me!” ICONICCC One thing i love about shows of this era is that almost all of the performers playing in the Bronz are REAL artists playing their REAL songs! Charmed did it too, and it makes for many an iconic moment honestly. Cibo Matto’s playing at the Bronz tonight!!!!! The Slayer is always a girl, no exceptions. You find out more about the history of them in later seasons, it’s really interesting stuff

Also trust us Nat Angel will actually start contributing to the plot eventually they keep ya waiting for it and its so worth it

im really glad to have another an excuse to revist this show again since ill be meeting alot of the cast at cons later this year. ill probably binge ahead since its been like 6-7 years and loop back as these reactions drop. really hoping this show does well enough and you enjoy it enough to keep on it and even try the spin-off after season 3

It was the innocuous little boy! What a Twist! Also, Owen will never be seen again which is good because they have zero chemistry and he is a charisma black hole.

Technically we are still firmly mid 90s at this point than early 2000s, which how fast technology was changing at this point, it is still quite a difference. 😀 I graduated high-school in 97, this is so close to how it was to me in those years. Including the weird stuff Buffy says. Haha

The master is tied to the failed ritual to open the Hellmouth. The magic more or less backfired and instead of opening the Hellmouth, it trapped him.

Happy Thursday Nat. That was another fun episode and reaction. I always enjoy the little twist right before the credits. I look forward to your reading of next week's description 😄 Thanks for your awesome Buffy videos this week Nat 😊

I think soon the Camp Value may die down and you might really start getting invested in the characters, particularly season 2 and on, then you too may become a Buffy buff.

i do not now what the others think, but i would argue you should not read the log line because you can spoiler yourself. Especially if you plan to watch season 2.

Just keep it coming. Keep it coming on and on!
