Development Pipeline: Blitz Striker's New Backup Animation
Here is the Blitz Striker's new back up animation. The previous animation had some issues with the tail and needed other small tweaks. We also decided it would make the most sense for the Blitz to use it's wing arms to help it move backwards.

the tail is everything about this
I love the attention to detail with the spine moving as the wings move back
I wish to hear the Blitz call (A bit random but yea)
So out of curiosity, I did a quick search on how snakes move backward; not too surprisingly, they do it much like we do (i.e., the same muscle groups they use for moving forward they also use for moving backward). This makes sense biologically and physiologically, but in a gaming context, it's kind of boring. That being the case, I really like this new animation. It keeps targeting while backing up simple, and provides a clearer visual indicator of behavior for other players. While I do think the rigidity of spine that's necessary for the maneuver might be a bit unrealistic, the fact is that this entire creature is unrealistic—more so than the other dragons and AI beasts—so I don't find it too hard to forgive.
I love this sm!
