Let's talk about BASS!

Gotta get the new year going by locking in the things that matter: nothing like getting your BAS(S)ICS right in the production to avoid a lot of fixing and grief at a later stage.

Let's talk about the relationship of bass and mid bass (or harmonics).

This is for those producing and mixing bass music: house, dnb, jungle, tech house, etc.

How to create some, and what to be mindful of.

Creating a strong bass that cuts through the mix actually isn't rocket science at all.

Once you grasp the fundamentals and know what to look for early on, it becomes easy, and your bass will enjoy good power and presence.

Thx for that video. Would u use that Bass Bus Limiter before or after the SC Plugin like kickstart that comes from the kick

bc the side chain "pumping" might trigger the limiter different than having the limiter before

Great video. Glad I'm not the only who sometimes thinks a bass can sound out of tune when distorted a particular way! Do you have any pas videos where you talk about relative levels between sub bass and kick? Obviously that's genre specific. This is something I always seem to stuggle on! Thanks.

Don't mind me, I see you have done a specific video for that very topic! Awesome!
