[Update] General mod making update (10/2026)
Hi everyone
I wanted to make a brief post regarding some general mod-making announcements. This will apply to my seamless co-op mods as these projects are currently my main focus.
I have recently released the seamless co op mod for Dark Souls 2, which is currently still in the early teething stages of release.
Dark Souls: Remastered [ BETA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
I recently did a small amount of testing for other reasons on the Dark Souls remastered Seamless Co op with a friend.
It reminded me that it is very much a work in progress project.
I think that the technical side of modding, which I have developed a lot during my development of Dark Souls 2, will come in very handy when I go back and look over the code of Dark Souls: Remastered Seamless Co-op.
Dark Souls II [ ALPHA ]
As mentioned at the start of the post, the Dark Souls 2 Seamless Co op mod was released on the 22nd of September 2026.
Since release, it has undergone several large bug fix patches, and at the moment the mod is in a relatively stable state.
Despite this, I will be continuing to develop the mod rather quickly over the next few weeks to months to iron out the main issues that players are having. Although the release was very stressful for me, I am pleased with the overall progress of the release and that people seem to be enjoying the mod.
I have learnt an awful lot during the development of this project, and I will be moving those skills over towards the other seamless co op mods, which are still all in development. As an example, the PvP and Invasion community seem to really enjoy the addition of the proximity chat, allowing communication between players.
Something else that I have learned is how to implement working covenant mechanics in seamless co op. This is also something I fully intend to move to other games.
This is something I intend to bring into the other Seamless Co-op mods at a later date.
Dark Souls III [ ALPHA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
Elden Ring [ BETA ]
The "Elden Ring Tarnished Edition" update was released on 28 August 2026. As expected, there were some issues with some of the signatures breaking with the new update.
Although the turnaround time to updating the mod was very quick - over a couple of days - I did unfortunately get my first taste of people using AI to analyse and attempt to update the mud without my input.
As expected, although these AI models were able to fix some of the signature issues, they did not update any of the structures inside the mod, and therefore, the mod was still unstable despite these "fixes".
I will always make it very well known that you should only download official releases and updates of the mod from my profiles. Please do not download any updates or claims to be updates or bug fixes from unknown sources.
Elden Ring: Nightreign [ Complete ]
This project is complete.
Sekiro [ TBA ]
Sekiro is the last in the series that I expect to develop a seamless co op mod for. As a few of you might know, I have previously created a Sekiro Online mod in mid-2020.
This mod has aged horribly, and it is my intention to release a seamless co op mod for Sekiro in the near future.
That being said, I think now that I have finished the Dark Souls trilogy, I should go back and make sure that some of my older projects have not been neglected.
I have actually already written skeleton code for the Sekiro Seamless Co op mod, and the mod is semi functional in its current state. I will, however, put this on ice whilst I make the other mods as easy to use and bug free as possible.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon [ ALPHA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post. This is probably one of the mods that is most neglected right now, excluding Sekiro Online, which I have ended support for.
It is very difficult to get back into, though, as I fundamentally do not enjoy the game. Therefore, testing is very tedious.
Overall
I hope this is an informative post, and that you enjoyed reading it. I think that I'm going to take a small hiatus, maybe of a few days to a week, to help my arm recover from the tendonitis. That being said, I was able to do a little bit of work today on the next update for Dark Souls 2. Without overstraining myself so I am hopeful for a speedy recovery.
As always - thank you for your patience and a huge thank you to all of my supporters <3
Take care,
Yui

Me and my friend were so excited to finally play sekiro together, it's really disappointing to see it "put on ice" in favor of other games. Personally couldn't care less about dark souls 1 & 2. Already played them to death and they just feel kinda dated now. I would literally pay for seamless sekiro at this point, and I'm broke AF... It doesn't even need to be seamless, man. I'd gladly take a more stable version of the one you already made.
Dark Souls 1 looks in alpha e dks2 in beta, its quite buggy
Seamless Co-op in DS2 is genuinely the most fun I've ever had in a video game. It has all the wonderful things I love about a dark souls game, but I get to play with my friend and not worry about invaders and effigies and constant backtracking. This is a wonderful mod and I'm very grateful for you making it. Do you have a kofi or something where people can do one-time donations?
Did you remove the ability to infuse boss weapons at McDuff?
No
Hi Yui, Thank you so much for the Seamless Co-op project. The idea behind this mod is fantastic, and I'm truly grateful for the work you put into it. The Souls community is lucky to have someone like you, and I'm sure they're proud to have you. I also wanted to ask: would it be possible for you to build a similar co-op mod for the native Bloodborne port? I think a lot of players would love it. Thank you again for everything you do!
Two things: 1: So looking forward to doing DS2 with me mate whenever it's on sale and one of us can afford it for 'im. 2: I'd much prefer an update of the Elden Ring mod by you, even if it was made when you hadn't slept for like 100 hours and had also downed two liters of vodka, over some fucking AI slop that'll break if you look at it wrong 3 (bonus): You're extremely great, and take your time with things, never worth it to burn out or shit :3
thank you you're the goat
Yui..... Bloodborne?? Now that there is a unofficial PC port?? After you rest up that is. If you ever want to work on it
Im with my Brother done with dark Souls 2, the Game is Trash but in seamless coop ist IT a 10/10 thank you yui for all, keep the good Work.
I’ll pray for a fast recovery thank you for all your hard work. I know everyone here and all those who enjoy your mods would give you their best wishes for recovery! As always thank you Yui!
Seamless Sekiro would fucking slap. We tried the online mod but it didn't work great
I cant wait for Sekiro, it is my fav game of the series and I want to enjoy it with my sister (she started with souls games thanks to you, so thanks a lot!!) It would be awesome if the different players gets assigned a different Sekiro skin since there are different outfits on the game for the different endings, that would be an awesome addition for differentiation! thank you so much for the hard work Yui
Your hard work is greatly appreciated, take your time and only come back when you feel you'll not strain yourself. As Oro would say "We say thank you, Yui!"
it's hard to overstate how vital your mods are, thank you for everything so far, and thank you for your continued efforts
40h on seamless coop mod for dark souls2, its fantastic
Do you think you could push a small update for DSR seamless co-op on Nexus? The default boss scaling in the ini file is set way higher than intended and it took far too long for me and my friends to realize that was the problem because we hadn't touched that parameter at all.
I would like to ask if you have any idea or Plans to make seamless mods for the Koei Tecmo Games, like nioh 1, 2, 3, and so on explicit for Rise of the Ronin because there you have an open World but can't Play together. Only in Special little Mission. Only a thought nothing more?
nope, I don't have any plans for that.
Thanks, feel better soon!
I would like to say the Nightreign seamless coop still have a couple of major bugs, like rewards from bosses only spawning for one player and not for ther rest, you can easily test it by playing with 4 or + players and going to the main castle in the middle of the map, once you defeat the boss at the bottom of the castle you can go upstairs and find a room with a chest, that Chest always gives you a reward with 3 talismans to choose from, whelp in resume only 3 of the 5 or 6 player will be able to retreat the reward. (I'm not a native English speaker so sorry if I mispronounced something) Also if you are playing with 4 or more players Revenant's summons will not spawn at all, and if someone from the party left mid game some players will disappear even though they are still in your world.
I know that there are some outstanding bugs, but the development cycle is finished, as in, I am not going to add anything else. It does not mean that there are no more bugs to fix, it just means I'm not adding more stuff to the mod.
LETS GOOO SEKIRO 👏👏👏. Can’t wait 🩷 I can finally inflict this wonderful game on my co-op buddy. Thank you for your work, Yui!!
Muchas gracias por todo tu esfuerzo Yui, me alegra saber que estás bien. Te deseo lo mejor en tu vida, cuídate ♡
appreciate all the hard work you're doing!
Hope the break serves you well! Thank you for all that you! <3
Not to try to be super personal online but I am curious as to why you dislike AC6, though I do understand the struggle of working with something you dislike regardless. Either way thank you for your hard work and amazing mods. You truly are a blessing to the fromsoft community.
I don't dislike AC6 specifically, I just don't really like mech games in general
I've played DS2 with a friend with your mod and we finished the first run, now doing new game +, so far the mod worked very well for an alpha, we expected it to be way less stable but it surprised us in the best way. You deserve the rest!
Keep up your work, when this is finished is good, but don't oder the people rush you, as sentenced yesterday. I wish you a good recovery
Thank you for all the work you put in!
I have and will remain waiting patiently for Sekiro I can not wait for that project to come back 😁
