[Update] General mod making update (05/2026)
Hi everyone
I wanted to make a brief post regarding some general mod-making announcements. This will apply to my seamless co-op mods as these projects are currently my main focus.
I've passed my most recent exams, and my next (and final) one is toward the end of the year so I have more time than usual. My main focus has been on Dark Souls II as I am focusing on getting a playable build out as soon as it is ready.
Dark Souls: Remastered [ BETA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
Dark Souls II [ TBA ]
Dark Souls II seamless co-op has received my full attention since the last post. I've completed a few playthroughs (+ DLC) with friends to test mod stability and it is good so far - I have been fixing issues as they come up but with each subsequent playthrough the experience gets smoother.
The amount of changes and overhauls I've had to make the game is ridiculous at this point, and if I'm honest if I knew it would be this much work at the start I'd have announced it WAY later on. I have most if not all of the main game systems completely dissected, modified, or entirely replaced with my own implementation in an effort to get it working smoothly.
It's very obvious that this game engine is entirely different from the others. I'm so incredibly grateful that they did not continue with the one that FromSoftware developed Dark Souls II in.
The project is easily twice the size of the Dark Souls 1, 3, and Elden Ring projects put together.
I'm at the stage now where I'll be working on making a video (as I have my other projects) to formally "announce" the project, as well as demonstrating some of the mechanics as they are different to the other one seamless co-op mods.
People have asked for an ETA which, while I appreciate people are anxious to try it, I will definitely make it known when it is available for testing. Information on the expected release of the mod will be free information.
In the process of taking the game apart, many vanilla bugs and QoL changes have been made:
Removal of the axial dead-zone converting to a 36% radial dead-zone is a toggle players will be able to adjust the ini file (fixed with permission from the author of the pre-existing deadzone fix. (toggle in the settings file)
Fixing the "Disable double click" bug for keyboard users
Fixing the "Invalid weapon upgrade" crash
Fixing the "Invalid weapon infusion" crash
Re-implementation of the server event treasure mechanic for SoTFS
Customisable game boot volume
Allowing users to skip the end-roll credits on the first NG cycle (usually unskippable unless NG+, 9 minutes long)
Even though these QoL changes can be seen as 'extra' to the main co-op functionality of the mod. I just fixed these as I came across them when doing other things.
As of writing this I'm still not happy with opening testing phases but I will let people know more about that soon™
I'll keep it brief here - There's a lot more explanation and behind-the-scenes posting available for those who would like to become a supporter. I will post the video on my YouTube channel which it is ready which will contain all of the information people need to know.
Dark Souls III [ ALPHA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
Elden Ring [ BETA ]
Elden Ring Seamless Co-op is currently on v1.9.9 - Many PvP changes have taken place since the last post including some fixes to some common cheats that some invaders were using against other players.
There's still some more change I'd like to make, including (moderate) player cap increases and some extra multiplayer features, however these are currently on the back burner as I focus more on getting the TBA projects developed and released.
I'm aware that people are experiencing issues with the mod still - years after release - but all of these projects are a slow burn for me. I work on them as and when I can.
Sekiro [ TBA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon [ ALPHA ]
No further development has taken place since my last post.
As always - thank you for your patience and a huge thank you to all of my supporters <3
Take care,
Yui

THANKS GOAT
i love you
Sorry to dump this in here lol but I composed it for NexusMod DMs before realizing you have those off. >>> # Bug Report For Seamless Co-Op (And It's A Gnarly One!) Yo there! I would be posting this in that discord server but I'm not the type to give discord my phone number (and you need it over there) so the bug report is here in your NexusMods DMs instead! Sure hope you check these... Anyway, was playing Seamless (full-game run) with someone who owns Shadow of the Erdtree where I don't. Obviously I couldn't interact with the hand to prevent me from warping into a bunch of gigabytes of area that aren't on my computer, but I accidentally found a workaround: if my co-op buddy presses A instead of me then the Yes/No box appears on my screen. Then if he doesn't do anything with it then I can do something with it, y'know, D-Pad over to Yes, select it. This let me warp to the DLC when I don't have the DLC. Therefore it put both of us on an eternal loading screen. Never finishing. Bad enough, but when I Alt F4ed the game and loaded back in I was still on the eternal loading screen, while my buddy (DLC owner, remember) loaded in to the first room of the DLC. So there's no way out of this for me unless I had a save backup, y'know? Or like, buying the DLC. Thankfully I have the money for it and all, but this is a fucking soft-lock on save file! Wow! Not sure what you can do about this, maybe an extra layer of Load Into Limgrave Asshole that you can put in as a safety rail, but you're the programmer, not me. Kay, all's good, bug reported! — 🌂
Yui, doing god's work out here for us! Thank you brother!
It would literally make my year if you finished updated the sekiro mod, at least a little bit so it's stable. Me and my friends have been looking forward to it so much, but alas D: Really don't care about Dark souls, personally. Played it to death with friends already. Either way, I appreciate you.
Just about finished up dark souls 3 seamless co op with my buddy, as well as having done multiple ds1 runs and now getting ready to do elden ring. Just want to give thanks to you for making some amazing mods, and we can't wait for Dark souls 2!
Yui, thanks to your mods, my wife became interested in trying out the Souls games since they prevent unwanted invasions that only disrupt our gameplay and improve many other elements. Thank you so much for being a legend! GOAT!
Really looking forward to DS2, we would be happy with any issues in it's current state, but can't wait until you're ready to release it. Thank you for all your hard work!!!!
Yui, is there a Discord server for Sealess Co-op?
genuine goat right here, er, ds1 and ds3 are peak
ds2 is the best
thank you yui. i love your mods
me and my friend have been waiting since you announced it and check on often we are hella excited
Will you make a seamless version if the Dark souls remakes are released?
thank you so much for all the work and effort you put into this mods Yui, I've been playing all of them with sister who got into soulslike games thanks to you, I seriously cant wait for Sekiro mod ⛩️it's my fav from the series and I cant wait to enjoy it with her as well, thanks for everything!
damn, playing with sister is adorable, i also play with my brother (he has anger issues but also like Monster Hunter game and such playing this with co-op make get into it not as frustating and managable ) thanks Yui i've been wanting or dream of this like in 2014 or so . soulslike but full campaign coop is very interesting concept that Fromsoft acknowledge in the future game
I'm experimenting with using a modified regulation.bin to make it so a limited group of people are able to invade one host world for a community event. This is working, but because the pool of invaders and hosts is so small, invaders are joining the host world immediately after the host respawns, and a new invader appears nearly every 30 seconds. Is there something that I can do, either in regulation.bin or in emevd, to slow down the pace of invasions? I found some regulation.bin fields that look related to invasion frequency - under NetworkAreaParam the fields cellSizeX, cellSizeY, cellSizeZ, and under NetworkParam there's breakInRequestIntervalTimeSec - do you know if changing any of those will have an effect for elden ring seamless?
There's nothing you can change in the regulation.bin that affects seamless co-op. The invasion timer is hardcoded in the mod settings and starts as soon as an invader joins
If there was a god of modders it would be you Yui, thanks to you my first proper play through of ds1 was a blast with my friend, now the souls series are my best after Skyrim but I know once I play Elden ring it will be my best. Just finished ds2 now and can't wait to play with him, too broke for ds3 but I'm working on it and I promise if I don't support any other modder in this life I will for you because I seriously appreciate your work and how much time and effort you put into it. Thank you from Arinthian
Tuffest guy ever
you're the goat, made so many fun memories with friends because of your mods, much love, if i wasn't broke i would be subscribed to supporter tier, much much love

Thank you for your Service you will forever live in our hearts
yui, isnt ds2 engine just a modified version of ds1? i thought that bloodborne and ds2 were just 2 different branches of the ds1 engine
congrats on passing your exams <3
Thank you so much for working on Dark Souls II multiplayer mod, me and the boys are hella excited to marathon dark souls 1 to elden ring and its all because of your magnificent work <3 but bro, ik you are hella tired of hearing people say this, but ongod I am begging from the bottom of my heart because me and the boys are gonna be in a hella anticipated long vacation from uni and work so we wanna enjoy it to the fullest possible and your dark souls II mod development will be peak if it comes out soon to the public. I am hella thirsty, drowning from my selfish and gluttonous desires to eat your mods up you have no idea :PPPPPP
thank youuuuuu , can''t wait to play it, i'v been waiting since last 2025
Oh a trailer for DS2 Seamless Coop sounds great! I am patiently waiting for the day it releases, also, congrats on passing your exams yui!
Thank u!!
You're doing amazing !! Thank you. Genuinely bringing new life to these games.
Quick question, will invasion type multiplayer be supported in the mod?
It will yeah
How does this work, what programming skill do you need for this? It's mind-blowing by the way, I hope at least that you love what you're doing.
I am not a programmer by trade, just some C/C++ but mainly reverse engineering and x86 assembly knowledge.
Absolutely LEGENDARY effort!
Absolutely legend
My goat
Dark Souls II has weird camera acceleration; there's a breakpoint where it goes full speed instead of a consistent linear increase in velocity as you move the stick. Fixing it would pair well with those deadzone options. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your effort, I'm really looking forward to playing with the DS2 mod. I'm so happy to know that heroes like you still exist, I love this game.
Your work is highly appreciated, thank you so much.
Keep up the amazing work Yui, i'm always so excited to see an update from you regarding dark souls 2
Cannot wait!
Today we are one day closer to DS2 seamless co-op being released 🙏
We appreciate your dedication!
Thank you! How many DS2 playthroughs do you think you've done for the mod at this point?
3 full ones + DLC, some in progress. The difficulty is finding someone that A) Wants to play Dark Souls II B) Wants to play the game with me C) Has patience to deal with any issues that comes up
now this is epic

A mod making update on a Tuesday morning? It’s like Christmas!
Hey, your mods are so good, u made this change in the deadzone of the game, is there a chance to u remove acceleration on bow aim?
No promises but I'll take a look
Thank you for your work so far! Take your time, but we are all obviously pumped as hell to get our hands on it!
Thank you so much for your work!
Bloody hell, you're the GOAT Yui! As hideous as the process appears to have been you've done a fantastic job sticking through it all and going well beyond the brief. Appreciate this is more work, but it'd be fascinating to see a video breaking down all the issues you faced creating DS2SC and how you tackled them in depth! That'd be some great commute content :P
I'd love to but I'm pretty shy and making videos where I talk is quite difficult for me. It very much depends on how I feel when I wake up.
Why is Scholar of the First Sin not the usual one?
Because the Scholar of the First Sin edition is 64-bit and more modern. The original Dark Souls II is much more dated (and also 32-bit) so I'm not making the mod for that.
In the recent weeks i thought about cancelling my subscription because "where ds2" but after reading this i think i just still cant grasp how INSANELY difficult it is to create such a mod, take my money and keep up the wonderful job <3
I appreciate it! No worries if you want to cancel, it's just taking significantly longer than I expected. Thank you for your support so far!
Thank you for your effort! VR + seamless has been the most fun I've had with these games in a while.
There are VR mods for the souls games? And they work with seamless?
The GOAT🛐🛐🛐
Fucking legend. much love
love the work as always
