I was meant to release this version earlier, but I kept adding more and more stuff to it. The biggest change is improved error handling when installing/uninstalling mods. The mod manager will now do a quick sanity check confirming it has permission to replace or delete files when installing or uninstalling a mod. This fixes an issue where the mod manager could fail to delete files if a user tried to uninstall a mod immediately after closing a game.
There are some other changes and additions too. For instance, you can now add an entry ala "MenuPriority = 1" to the modinfo.ini to change the ordering of mods in a mod addon list. This number defaults to 0 unless specified in the modinfo.ini. The higher the number, the higher the "priority" for that mod to be displayed near the top. The order is as follows: "master" mod first, then order based on mod priority, and then finally do alphabetical ordering.
The download link for RE Framework changed a while back, and this version of the mod manager can download RE Framework again. By the way, RE9 got a patch today. As far as I know, latest RE Framework version works just fine with it. Some mods might be broken, but then it's up to the mod author to update the mod to make it function with the game again.
"Animations" has been added as category for RE9. Add "Category = !Other > Animations" to modinfo.ini to force a mod to use that category.
Change log:
SF6: Reverted cheeky naming of Alex.
Added mod managing support for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection.
Improved error handling for failed mod installs/uninstalls.
Fixed a bug which could prevent the "approximate" FPS limiter from limitting the FPS while program was in focus.
You can now control the position of an addon mod in its submenu by writing a modinfo entry called "MenuPriority = 1". Higher number means it'll be higher in the list. This value defaults to 0.
Improvement to log writing that could remove some minor UI stutter.
PEAK: Logo will now be downloaded.
Fixed a bug where the mod manager could ignore files that start with "."
RE Engine games: The "pak_mods" directory no longer gets deleted when all mods are uninstalled.
RE2R/RE3R/RE7: The mod manager will now try to automatically "downgrade" textures when installing RT mods to the non-RT version.
RE9: Added "Animations" as category (!Other > Animations)
Fixed download address for RE Framework.
Added mod managing support for Nitro Express.

Hi, sorry for commenting on an old post. But the latest update in-app of Fluffy appears to have broken RE4R's Ultimate Trainer. Allow me to explain: To start off, the game ran as normal last night, all mods installed, no issues. But after today's update (June 5, 2026), all REFramework related mods will break as a result of a sol handler error which happens after a while in the Main Menu. The weirder thing is when I open the game WITHOUT the Ultimate Trainer loaded, it won't cause the sol handler and all the REFramework related mods / scripts will work as normal. The latest update said something about "minor tweaks in REFramework checking" or something like that so I assume that's what causing this issue. Appreciate if this can be taken a look at or better yet, if I can get some instructions on how to rollback my Fluffy Mod manager to the previous version where everything worked fine, that'd be great. Either way, appreciate all the work you've put in this wondrous app that made modding the game so much fun for me.

How does it crash?
any plans for your next ModManager version to get basic support for re9's new DEMO version or the pc Classic 90s RE trilogy titles 1, 2, or 3:Nemesis now on Steam? (would be sweet hehe)
Yes! And that version should be released very soon.
the mod maneger can't see my game folder why?
If the mod manager can't automatically find the game, then you can press the red button on the right to manually define the game install path.
Hi, I downloaded Fluffy Mod Manager today and I'm trying to use it in Street Fighter 6, but when I open the game, the characters just don't appear.
I'll need more information. If you can't get a certain mod to work, you can send me link to the mod and also send me a DM with contents of data\log.txt from my mod manager after attempting to install a mod.
I have downloaded fluffy manager for the first time, I can't seem to see mods for any games, there is no "download mods" button from other screenshots, and I've explored the other buttons and the only things I can do seem to be go to Nexus, download your mini game or download RE Engine. Any idea what's wrong?
Which game do you have selected? Only a few games have mods you can download directly from the mod manager, and even then, the selection is rather limited. You're expected to go to a site like NexusMods to download mods and put them in the mod manager.
