How to mod Dragon's Dogma 2 - PAK creation guide
Right now it's not possible to create mods for Dragon's Dogma 2 by packaging loose files into a RAR/7Zip/ZIP archive, but it is possible to create custom PAKs with modified assets and have the game load those.
Instructions:
Download RETool (v0.224 or later) and extract it anywhere
In the same location as REtool, create a directory with the name of your mod
Within that directory, replicate the same file structure you'd see in the main PAK
As example, if you're replacing a loading screen image, you'd have this path: REtool_dir\NameOfMod\natives\STM\Gui\ui03\ui0302\TEX_ui0000_04_IM.tex.760230703
In the base folder for the mod (ie, the "NameOfMod" folder"), you can insert a modinfo.ini and a screenshot for Fluffy Mod Manager to read
Drag'n'drop the "NameOfMod" directory onto create-DD2-pak.bat to create the PAK archive
Drag'n'drop the resulting PAK file onto Fluffy Mod Manager with the appropriate game selected
Install mod via Fluffy Mod Manager
Here's an example of what a modinfo.ini file can look like this:
name = Beastren with extra long whiskers
version = v1.0
description = This mod adds absurdly long whiskers to the Beastren race making their charisma stat go through the roof.\n\nImportant PSA: cats are cooler than humans.

much appreciated good sir ;) wishing u well!
Hail mr Fluffy :) First off thankyou for your work/services ^^ Secondly.. im a graphic designer geek (44y/o) and would really love to have a go at editing a current DD2 armour piece, in prep for my ng+ playthrough. Is there any brief overview you could provide or perhaps point me in the right direction? extract armour model.. edit it..repack. making it sound easy i know ^^ over to you, if you may! Good day ;)
I think that should be possible, but model editing is not what I focus on so I can't help much myself. I suggest looking into the Modding Haven discord and asking for help there. There should be several people doing this kind of modding there. Here's a link: https://discord.gg/9Vr2SJ3
