The Incubus System Chapter 1534. King and Queen II
The Incubus System Chapter 1534. King and Queen II
Lord Damon and Lilieth's PoV
“He is angry,” Damon said. “He will make himself a villain if they keep pushing.”
Lilieth looked down at their son again. “Maybe.”
Damon’s eyes opened sharply.
She did not flinch. “But perhaps,” she said, “the Light Dimension needs to fear the villain they keep naming.”
The wind moved between them.
Lust City pulsed below.
Damon studied her face.
“You agree with him?”
“I agree with his exhaustion.”
“That is not the same.”
“No,” Lilieth said. “It is worse.”
Her eyes hardened.
“How many times must he prove he is merciful before they stop testing whether he can be cruel?”
Damon said nothing.
Because that question had no good answer.
Lilieth looked back at Damian.
“He saved a human today, didn’t he? An enemy? And by night, the Light King sent assassins to his gate.”
Damon’s silence was answer enough.
Lilieth’s lips curved coldly. “Then perhaps mercy alone is no longer enough language.”
Damon stared at the city gate, where Damian’s black-and-white wings caught the glow of the barrier.
His son looked like contradiction made flesh.
A boy forced to become sharper because everyone gentle kept getting used against him.
Damon hated it.
But he also felt something else.
Pride.
Dark.
Burning.
Painful.
Because Damian had not collapsed under the weight.
He had smiled and answered.
Damon’s voice was quiet. “If he takes the Light throne…”
Lilieth looked at him. “That would make him ruler of both realms and make every old power panic.”
“Yes.”
Lilieth hummed softly. “Messy.”
Damon glanced at her.
She smiled faintly. “But I guess like father, like son.”
“I never tried to take the Light throne.”
“Men always say that.”
Damon sighed.
But the heaviness in his chest shifted slightly.
He looked toward the gate again.
“Prepare the soldiers,” he said. “But quietly. No public panic. Only units Damian can control. If he truly goes for Aurelion…” Damon’s eyes darkened. “Then we make sure he has a way back.”
Lilieth’s hand tightened over his. “And if he fails?”
Damon turned to her fully.
For one moment, he was not only Lord Damon.
He was a father.
His voice was calm.
“If my son fails,” he said, “then I stop caring whether the throne is empty.”
Lilieth held his gaze. Then she smiled, slow and dark.
“Then let us make sure he does not fail.”
Below them, Damian turned toward the city.
Above, Lord Damon watched.
And somewhere beyond the veil, the Light Dimension had no idea that it had not only angered the son.
It had awakened the father too.

Ethan’s PoV
I stepped out of the portal and returned to the human world.
But this time, I didn’t come back with a frown.
To be honest, I felt… light.
Which was insane, considering I had just killed two angels, declared potential hostile takeover plans against the Light throne, and mentally added invading Light Dimension to my already disgusting to-do list.
But still.
Light.
Like something in my chest had finally loosened its grip.
For so long, I had been walking around with invisible hands around my throat. Be good. Be patient. Explain yourself. Don’t scare them. Don’t attack first. Don’t prove them right. Don’t become what they call you. Don’t become Erebus. Don’t become a monster.
Smile, Ethan.
Negotiate, Ethan.
Understand their side, Ethan.
Take responsibility for ancient disasters you didn’t cause, Ethan.
Yeah.
No.
Apparently there was a limit.
Who knew?
The moment I stopped trying to convince people I deserved to exist, my shoulders felt lighter.
Dangerously lighter.
Like I could breathe without asking permission.
I could just be me.
And instead of going home like a responsible young man with trauma and homework, I found myself in Ledred.
Near the Sea Devil club.
Why?
Because apparently when I had a villain awakening, my first instinct was not to sit in a dark throne room and brood.
It was to go clubbing.
Honestly, on brand.
The night in Ledred was different from Lust City. Less demonic, less openly magical, more human pretending not to notice the supernatural breathing under its streets. Neon signs bled across wet pavement. Cars crawled past in golden streaks. Music thumped from underground lounges and bars where people with too much money, too little shame, and absolutely no survival instinct gathered to flirt with danger.
The Sea Devil stood at the end of the street like a beautiful bad decision.
I was in my incubus form.
Damian.
Just the face that made people stare too long and then pretend they hadn’t. Dark blue hair, sharper jaw, body dressed in dark clothes that fit like sin had hired a tailor.
The security guard straightened the moment he saw me.
“Mr. Damian.”
“Evening.”
His gaze dipped respectfully. “Lady Pearl is in the VIP room as usual. There are guests with her as well.”
I paused.
Guests?
My brow lifted slightly. “Who?”
He hesitated, like he wasn’t sure whether gossiping upward was punishable by death.
Smart man.
“Lady Diamond is there. And others.”
My interest sharpened.
Okay… who were the others?
“Thanks.”
The guard opened the velvet rope immediately. “Enjoy your evening.”
I walked inside.
The club swallowed me whole.
Music rolled through the floor and into my bones, deep bass vibrating under polished black tiles. Blue and violet lights moved like water across the ceiling. The air smelled of expensive alcohol, perfume, warm bodies, and the faint salty-dark scent that gave Sea Devil its name.
Beautiful people filled the space.
Conversations dipped as I passed.
Eyes followed.
Some curious.
Some interested.
The VIP corridor was quieter, wrapped in dark velvet walls and blue-gold lamps. The music became softer here, more sensual than loud, the kind of sound that made secrets feel natural.
A private guard opened the door before I knocked.
Inside, the room glowed like expensive trouble.
Pearl lounged on the long curved sofa like the place had been built around her body. Indigo hair spilled over one shoulder, her dress clinging in all the unfair places, one leg crossed over the other with enough grace to make tax evasion look elegant.
Beside her was Diamond.
Same devastating beauty, different flavor.
Elenna sat near them, soft and glossy, her slime body maintaining a lovely humanoid form with translucent curves under her dress, eyes bright like melted jewels. She perked up the moment she saw me.
And on the other side…
Olivia.
Camila.
Emma.
All three froze with drinks in hand.
Ah.
Wonderful.
I knew why they were here.
The gossip tribunal.
