S01E05P1 is now out for public/free.

Day late as I missed the date for the Fan Tier, but here now.

Anyways, here's the important bits:

As mentioned in the previous announcement post, there's some stuff to work on. That isn't to say I think this is bad, but there's definitely some stuff to be worked on as far as workflow and the writing process goes.

I definitely did enjoy the less beefy workflow, though. Nothing really changes as we'd effectively be giving the same amount of content over the same amount of time. Just in smaller batches throughout the dev process. It felt a lot more focused and streamlined whereas the multi-thousand render updates felt like a giant hill to climb at times. Again, not to say I didn't enjoy that. But the light at the end of the tunnel makes it a bit easier to push, if that makes sense. That and any fixes to the story, inconsistencies, and or anything generally unliked can be somewhat more quickly repaired than they would with larger updates.

GF links are up for both PC and Mac, will be adding more as they finish (as usual). Android modders will do their thing eventually. As I did with the last update, any major fixes will either be updated via a new script.rpa file (a hotfix) or held off until Season 1 is completed if it's game/save-breaking. As previously mentioned, Season 1 will have a beefy code cleanup/update before going into Season 2. While it's causing another restart, it's going to ensure a clean save transfer over to Season 2 when it comes. Obviously not ideal, but better than having something go tits up 3 episodes into S2.

Rambling aside, here's the changelog for Part 1 of Episode 5:

• 683 Renders, potentially. You'll get most of them. There's one scene where the amount changes based on a previous action (should be pretty obvious which scene when you come across it)

• 23 Daz-made animations (no AI this time, though it was my first time working with FOM, so you might notice some oddities/errors or wonky looks in some of the animations...)

• 31 AI-generated music tracks (feel free to mute and use your own.), dozen or so SFX tracks.

• Added Simplified Chinese translations as a trial run. MTL'd with Claude.

• Added a Translation Selection page, though it's currently only made up of English and Chinese. Slightly buggy (language labels disappear on menu when changing to Chinese), but all appears to work based on my testing.

• Hopefully a correction system (probably Google Forms at first) will come with Part 2.

• Probably some stuff I'm missing, but likely relatively minor.
