Reliquary Keeper
Greetings
Today I bring you a knight on foot accompanying the procession and carrying a Relic Sword. I hope you like how the unit is getting. It is probably the month that we are devoting more hours and there is still a lot of work.
On the other hand, between today and tomorrow we will make the assignment of the December files :)

great looking figure
It seems we will agree to disagree. I can only say that I am here because you make mini’s that fit the warhammer aesthetics and vibe. Certainly the Elves. Which could fit perfectly in the gallery section of the Gw armybooks. The one that fit the aesthetics the least were the warriors of the Ashes. It’s a bummer that you changed your plans with Bretonnia after the poll. If I had known this beforehand I would have voted for another option. To me it feels you are saying that carrots are green, while we all see an orange carrot. Call me naive, but I believe a substantial group is here because your mini’s are very Warhammer like. Yours and Highland miniatures.
I don't think any of our elves would have been accepted by gw for publication. they don't fit in their style guide even if they have certain reminiscences. And in the rest of the ranges. GW looks at the German renaissance, we look at the Spanish and Burgundian. The Warriors of the Ashes conceptually can serve a similar purpose to Chaos, but they do not pretend to be Chaos. And the Wood Elves fit very well in their concept, but element for element they do not resemble any range that I know of. We are building for a rulebook you don't know yet, for a background you know very little about. For example our vampires are elves living among humans and that's why the elven influence in their armor is so strong. One thing I am looking for is that all our races have plastic influence with the other races they live with, and that will lead us to homogenize many elements. Copying would be the easy and profitable thing to do. And we wouldn't even have to do documentation, which is a lot of hours too. But don't expect to see copies. There may be some homage like this month's Joan of Arc. But they will always be about things with which we consider that we do no harm to anyone and about which no one has commercialization rights. Joan, Mordred or Roche are miniatures that as a fan I feel like doing and that nobody else has. But as a commercial value it is something completely residual.
What nonsense is this: "Gw in my opinion has abused them and has managed to reduce a period with a lot of diversity to two types of troops. Knights and peasants. And I think that at the sculpting level you can get much more." Lol, that is just insulting. I guess you have no idea how all the Bretonnians looked through the different editions and the visual difference between errant knights / Knights of teh Realm, Questing knights and Grail knights. Alan and Michael Perry sculpted a lot of the old Bretonnian range. It's just absurd in downplaying their work. We are talking about the Perry brothers here.. and you just show a generic foot knight and say that you do it much better. Lol, good luck. Edit: Also with the "next army" poll the option was this: "Kingdom of Equitania- Bretonia - ASOIAF" and later you talked about "Equitania Thematic Survey". So you were cleary referencing to Bretonnia and the 9th Age Kingdom of Equitaine. And now it's suddently the county of Neverra, with interchangeable units with the High Kingdom? If posted it like that you can't suddently complain about the people that were expecting somekind of Bretonnia release.... . Edit: Ok, the tone of my post is rude, still I don't get that you downplay the mini's designed for Bretonnia since the first to their last release. Those mini's are the reason people probably voted for this army in your poll...
Hello Tonny You are assuming things we don't say. I make one thing clear. The GW range is GW's range. If anyone expects to see copies here. You are in the wrong place. There are other Patreons where they have no qualms. Here we try not to. Here we are looking to create an alternative to your range. Not copy your range. The difference is remarkable and important at all levels. We admire the Perry's very much. They were the best sculptors of their time for sure. And besides having mutual friends with them, we share a love of history with them. In the survey it says that we are going to make an army based on Equitania. that is what will be in the game list. But I can approach this list from the aesthetics that I consider appropriate. I could do it from Excalibur, my favorite movie, from the Prince Valiant comic book, from a more historical perspective with late Roman or from a more historicist perspective. And the same for ASOIYF. Don't expect us to copy a lanister soldier from the series. We can reference things, but don't expect something literal. And this applies to all armies. Whoever expects a GW version, as GW would do today, is wrong. We are going to create our approach. And that approach can have a lot in common because we start from the same sources, and from the same references. But it will also have many differences. Taken to the miniatures, the Bretonian knights from 5th, are essentially the same knight, the only thing that changes is the crest and the heraldry. I respect those who like it, but I feel like doing something different, dirtier and not so naive. Even strictly speaking of Warhammer, the background of the warhammer role playing game, for me is much more interesting and richer than how it has been simplified in the battle game. So again, I'm not saying that warhammer is bad, nor that perry's work is bad. I'm simply telling you that we are going our way, not theirs. With their similarities and their differences. And unfortunately there are things that for the moment we have to assume, like identifying the use of the bard with heavy cavalry, which impoverishes a lot the variety in the miniatures. And for the moment we assume it. But the fact that they have done it does not mean that it is the best or an immovable truth.
brutal
Nice, but as other have posted. Hopefully there will be surcoats and helmet crests. The cool thing with bretonnia was the visual difference between Errant knights, knight of the realm, questing knights and grail knights. Are you planning to do the same? If so, what does this knight resemble? Also does the sword fit in his empty scabbard?
Can you explain me the thing with the helmet crests? Do you have a historical image of a bascinet with one? This is something I don't have any experience with and it interests me.
Love it :-)
Se ve muy bien para mi, me gusta el casco.
That looks amazing, you don't see pigface bascinets on minis!
Looks fantastic. But still, I hopewe'll see surcoats and helmet crests.
Hmm I think I won't like your bretonian range, but it's fine your creative freedom.
He looks really nice.
