Progress 10.04.2026
Hello all!
Annoyingly, rendering is going slowly, but I should be able to finish it tonight. Set building has eaten a lot of time since about every scene requires a new set. And that can be anything from ten minutes to four hours. That and some of the textures... yeah. Not happy with them, that’s why I don’t usually use the render queue. Not sure why, but ground textures usually aren’t that great on a lot of environments. Most of the time, the building and other textures are great and detailed. Ground? Nah, it’s solid, works well enough... Right.
Writing, on the other hand, I’m happy with. Silver linings and all that.
No preview as anything I’ve worked on since Monday would be heavy spoilers. So something else, man and his familiar, again. Truthfully, I did this to test the environment. It was something I picked up to discount something else I needed. I’m mostly happy. Same thing as in a lot of environments, the ground texture leaves something to be desired. That could have been remedied with foliage. There is some grass on the hills/cliffs, but not where it would matter. But that is something I can fix in various ways; if nothing else, I’ll add a fog. And Yes I do have an idea for it...
And then the second one, and even more water. Same thing, testing the environment again. Water from the original didn’t work, but I wasn’t expecting much considering who made the environment to begin with, but the replacement I use is nice. The cave itself works, but again the ground. Luckily, I have decent sand shaders I can use. Assuming the mesh is alright. Anyway, lots of water this time. I’ll take a break and hopefully finish the rendering so I can just code tomorrow. You all have a great weekend!

So the good one is on the back burner for now then? Great 😡
When will we get an update for tribulations of a mage?
ToaM is completed, for now. I'll worry about one game at a time...
I like both renders but the first background I would like to see in ToaM if you do another. Thank you for the update.
I will play this game when there will be plenty of renders
Cool 😎
Thanks T, can't fathom how you juggle everything with how hard you work. ^^
looking good, thanks Tal
Love the water scene. Looks great.
Thank You Tal <3<3 :)))
thanks for the hard work, hope it's sunny where you are. just got out of a rainy stretch and been enjoying lots of sunny cool weather in the Seattle area
Eh, typical spring weather really, some sun, some rain hopefully, and north wind...
