Arcane 2x2 Edited & Full

Aaand we're back for episode 2. This episode was much more lighthearted overall, besides Jinx saying goodbye to Silco and her short almost-meeting with Vi. 😱🤩 Interesting parallels of Jinx and Caitlyns grief for their parent. Jinx hurts as much as Caitlyn, both have a hard time to let go. Jinx also blames herself (with more reason than Cait, I might add 😅) for their death and she wants to see the person responsible die – Caitlyn wants to kill Jinx and Jinx just wants to die...🙈 We'll get a music video at the beginning of each episode instead of the flashbacks we got in season 1. This time it shows us the changes in the Undercity after Silcos death, to the sound of Marcus Kings fantastic “Sucker”. The surviving Chembarons fight for the throne, snatching little kids (many of them orphans, I guess) off the streets to use them as slaves in their factories and mines. Isha is one of those kids that tries to escape the goons of one of the Chembarons. All the while Jinx tries to stay out of everything, she mourns and doesn't care about anyone or anything. Until a little girls falls right onto her head. 😱✨ Isha is about Powders age, but a bit smaller. Judging by her clothes she worked in a mine and ran away. She is beyond adorable. 💖 And she has guts. She ran away from these three huge frightening goons, throws Jinx' Grenade on the other goons to save her and immediately clicks with Jinx. Another parallel to Powder – we meet both girls when they try a big jump. Powder over the rooftops of Piltover and Isha through a busted pipe. Powder only almost made it and was saved by Vi, Isha only almost made it and fell right on Jinx, what saved her. It is kinda fateful. 🤯😍 The green smoke is called “The Grey” and is used by Caitlyn and her team to clear the streets and have an advantage against the gangs in the lanes. That was what she was reading about in the secret archives of her mother, how the vents work and how to steer the smoke in the areas they want to raid. It is a pretty ruthless move by her, given that she must know that many innocent people would get poisoned (probably not deadly, but still). And it doesn't seem to have the desired effect, they don't get anywhere near Jinx (at least as far as they know). That frustrates her to no end, strains her nerves and shows in her senseless firing at the figure in the shooting gallery. She is loosing herself more and more...😨🙈 DETAIL: Jinx looses Claggors goggles, she had for such a long time, in "The Grey", where her sister found them. Now Vi has them, just like the in-game Vi...😳😀 I love the dynamic between Sevika and Jinx. They are the only two persons that actually knew and miss Silco. Sevika tries to hold together everything he built, but stands no chance, especially without a working arm. She just has her dream of a free Zaun. Jinx simply misses her dad. For the first time there is no one in her life who tells her what to do. So they stick to the only one they have left right now – each other. While they didn't get along very well, they got used to each other over the years they spent around Silco. And – as Sevika made abundantly clear – they don't offer up their own people. So as a kind of peace offering, Sevika came to help Jinx and Jinx built her a new arm. 😍 I love the arm Jinx made for Sevika! It is practically Jinx' whole personality molded into that arm. Of course it had to have music, fireworks and a built-in slot machine. Seems quite fitting for a passionate gambler like Sevika. 🤩🙌🏻🥳✨ Viktor has changed! He is now fully emerged with the hexcore and became a new being. No wonder this new Viktor leaves Jayce. Their close friendship seems to be nothing more than a distant memory, belonging to another person. The hextech seems to show itself to Viktor looking like Sky, influencing him. And now he goes full on “Jesus mode”, down in the fissures. This must be the place where the water tower with Vis and Powders old family home stood. There were lots of tents of homeless shimmer addicts like Huck. Huck had quite a life so far. From a small merchant in the lanes to an almost dead shimmer addict to Viktors first apostle...😅😇 As always, can't wait to watch the end of arc 1 with you. Be prepared, these closures of an arc tend to be especially heartbreaking...😨🙈

A fun episode (by Arcane standards.). You are right about that arm. It was very much a Jinx arm, and NOT a Sevika arm. It was still sweet that she did that though. Speaking of sweet, we got to meet Isha (the little girl.). Seeing the two of them together reminds me of early on with Vi and Powder. A trend we are seeing this season that I love are these music video beginnings that set the tone for the episode and the character(s) we will be focusing on. These animators and musicians are just so creative and it really gives them a chance to shine.
