I watched a movie!!
Okay, I admit I'm a little excited but this is sort of new territory for me! I had a couple of people mention Perfect Days to me in one of my recent Patreon posts and I took one look at the poster art and knew I wanted to watch it. So I thought what better movie to try? One that just gave me good vibes from the get go.
So on the 15th of December, I sat down and reacted to it. I want to take you along on this little journey and I'll keep you updated with how I'm going! I know I mentioned getting an editor for the movies, and I likely will, but I just want to see how long it takes to edit. I know I can edit a 45 minute show in a few hours and I'm very confident with those. At a guess, a 2 hour movie might be 6 or so hours of editing. I won't be uploading this anytime soon but my goal is a movie every 2 weeks or so. If I can get 1 hour editing done every day, this might be doable!
I'll be honest and say some movies I've reacted to the in the past have sat on the cutting room floor. I watched Donnie Darko and I never edited it. It's too old now and I won't like the feel of my reacting so it will never be shown. The same with Captain Hammer. I tried to edit it just for patreon and I can't do it. I don't like the "me" part!! So the key is, I need to edit them ASAP. So tomorrow I'll start editing this movie and I'm probably looking at the first week of January to upload.
I just wanted to let you know as I am excited, which is silly, and I really hope the editing and copyright process is smooth 👀 And that I don't have a tantrum at the editing and it also never sees the light of day... Oh boy! Wish me luck 😅 And thank you for your encouragement and support as I try new things 💜
P.S. I wrote this on the day I watched the movie. I've made some progress! I've edited for around 2 hours now and I'm about halfway done! We might be on track for this to be a bit of a christmas weekend upload, which would be a rather lovely present. I'll keep at it... I promise!!

Sweet! Looking forward to it.
You're not at all silly to be excited or to let us know that you are; or, if you are, I am even sillier at being excited over your excitement. I can't wait. I'm actually going to try an experiment. I have not yet watched something for the first time by watching it with you, or any reactor. I'm going to do that with this. I love movies, but the way my day is organized, I can watch things that are thirty minutes or an hour long, but I have trouble fitting in movies. To watch the movie and then, later, watch your reaction would be hard. So I'm going to try it all at once and see how it goes. Whether it comes out Christmas weekend or later, it will still be a Christmas present!
I love this experiment!!! Now I'm even more excited haha! I do try to make the story cohesive with all the reactions, though I will admit I do think reactions might be slightly better when the viewer knows and loves the show or movie. But in saying that, I often watch reaction videos and I haven't seen the movie or show! It's just fun to hang out with someone and watch them react and hear what they have to say 😅 Now I am nervous with the editing hehe but I really hope you enjoy!
Wait is Captain Hammer "Dr Horribles Sing-a-long Blog"? If so I eagerly await. Movie reactions are great, especially since you finished Buffy and I kinda got tired of Dr. Who.
Unfortunately, not captain hammer! Like I mentioned in this post, my reaction to that one is so old that I can't bear it 🤣
I never realised just how long a movie reaction takes to edit. No wonder you prefer the shorter shows like The Good Place and A Man on the Inside! I'm happy that you're excited though Juliette. I'm excited myself actually as I know you'll pick some interesting and lesser known to movies to react to as well as possibly some more popular ones. Did you at least enjoy watching Donnie Darko? That movie was something of an indie phenomenon when it was first released and is one that I really enjoyed myself. Well, good luck with the editing Juliette and enjoy the rest of your day 💜
It's actually not taking as long as I thought so maybe this will be a good sign going forward! I really do want to watch some that aren't the same ones always uploaded. Some older movies, foreign films, wholesome... the world is our oyster 😊
This is great. I have never seen or even heard of this. Excited to watch with you!
Way to go! I'm excited to watch your first movie reaction. It will be interesting to see how your Patreon full-length version is treated by the copywrite process compared to the edited YT version. I know other creators on Patreon have full-length unblurred movie reactions because the creators use Patreon Video to store and show the movie. Any media that touches YT will have copywrite issues, apparently. Patreon interprets the "fair use" clause differently than YT. BTW, this is not legal advice. I am not a lawyer. Your milage may vary. 😁 Please keep us updated!
Good Luck
We're excited, too! Can't wait to see it. 😁 🏳️🌈🖖💜💚
DG 💜😊 Ahhh thank you!! I'm feeling really good at the moment with my videos. It's been a tough month but it's little things like this that give me an extra little bit of excitement. I hope you have a lovely rest of your week!
