Doctor Who 10x02 Smile - Edited

I thought you'd probably like Bill a lot. For me it's her inquisitive nature that really makes her so human, likeable, and relatable. The Doctor is also becoming a little playful I feel. The emojibots are so damned cute, I'm glad they lost their psychotic nature by the end lol.

It took me a min to realise what you were doing with your blurb there, I'm so dim lol Got there in the end! I like this episode, Bill only just found out who her tutor really is so this is like her first 'proper' adventure and still working out how it all works, and still keeping that student/teacher vibe too which I quite enjoy. I get what you mean by the ending (he didn't have long so just did the best he could) but I also think The Doctor is more matter of fact and wont always favour humans in situations like this, logically the Vardy are the indigenous race, they built it and humans need them to survive so you can see what his thinking is, he's very blunt and you can imagine him saying 'well would I put Humans in charge you'd probably just screw it up' lol - No idea if that's right but it's my theory on the ending anyway lol

Last week you said you were curious about what I thought of this season. All I can say for now is that I love it but it's far from perfect and takes a while to get going, but you're in for quite the reaction ride when it does. These episodes after the opener to that point still aren't bad but I've not given them much thought until now compared to the later ones. That being said when I rewatched this one at the weekend as what I thought of as maybe the weakest or least memorable episode of the season it still had a lot more going for it than I remembered. You're in for quite a bit of the horror you mentioned the show has, and it was fun that you're such a Who veteran now that you knew the robots were bound to turn evil ;) One thing I love about Bill is that she has a tendency to either question or even make a bit of fun of so much about the Doctor that we take for granted like the TARDIS and two hearts in this episode, probably a lot more so than many other companions do. I really like it when she makes such comments or observations. Last time one thing I forgot to mention is that she's arguably an example of how much the Twelfth Doctor has softened up, that he's not supposed to be going anywhere yet he's found himself unable to resist being drawn to Bill, taking under his wing and sharing the delights of the universe with her anyway.
