The Good Place 4x12 Patty
It's the second last episode and I am NOT ready for this. Good news is I recognised the Patty actress, though I did have a moment of panic afterwards thinking I might be wrong. I get so many comments on Youtube from people absolutely appalled I don't recognise actors 馃槄 I mean, fair, I do seem to live under a rock. But it's my rock and it's comfy.
Well, this episode did not go how I imagined it would. At all. But with just one episode to go... All I can hope for is the happy ending I've always wanted 馃挏
(p.s. just letting you know I won't be around as much this weekend as I am visiting a zoo and exploring a little country town so I'm very much touching grass which is much needed 馃グ)

Nothing left to do but end it. But don鈥檛 worry you still have plenty left, the first rewatch is almost as good as the first time and there鈥檚 always the podcast.

Your outro was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions with us throughout this series. This show has a way of revealing ideas that instantly make you realize things you thought were a given were not, such as in a complex world doing pure good is not always possible but the effort still matters, that unlimited happiness will not lead to lasting happiness, and the connections we make to others is what will ultimately save us. The messages are so meaningful and sincere that it sticks with me more than any other show. I think your predictions on how you will feel about the final episode will probably be spot on. Stupid Nick's Wing Dump is not a real place, which is probably a good thing. But since I live in Jacksonville, I still wanted to represent. So, I recently found a Stupid Nick's Wing Dump t-shirt online and have been wearing it a lot lately.
Even here at the very end, the show hasn't lost a step. For any show or movie to to surprise you with an unpredictable element - and have it actually be good - is uncommon. To pull that off more than once is quite rare. Doing it over and over perfectly for literal *years* is a cosmic unicorn! Anything's possible, but I can't imagine another show doing what The Good Place has done. I've been waiting for the reveal in this episode for a while - ever since the very first big reveal. I didn't see either one coming, and it was glorious. I don't think you should feel bad about having the show change your perspective on your life, and the world around you. In fact, I believe that the writers absolutely intended the show to provide the viewer with ideas and perspectives about the world they may not have considered before. People have been using stories to teach about complex philosophical topics for as long as complex philosophical topics have existed. The Good Place is just the latest entry on a shelf going back thousands of years. It also happens to be the funniest and most entertaining entry. :D
I'm never ready for the end of this show. I've been through the series countless times now, and I get sad just thinking about it around this time.
To me the idea of an eternal good or bad place to me is waaaay worse than the idea of a peaceful non existence. Kinda like they show in this episode. At least we can rule out the biblical heaven because that place sounds absolutely terrible. The Good place writers at least can write a better good place than the Romans, Greeks, and Hebrews.
