The Good Place 3x10 The Book of Dougs
We're in the GOOD PLACE! It's true! Mostly 😋 Lovely episode. The postal worker was all kinds of adorable!! I adore these Good Place people, but I reckon I'd get annoyed at them eventually hahaha always so cheerful!!!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Today I am off to do a small hike on a new trail and then overcompensate my efforts with a burger dinner.

Even in the traditional religious versions of "Heaven" & "Hell", it would pretty much be dang near impossible to get into heaven. Especially some of the more devout religious people from every religion imaginable, who happen to actually be really bad people who don't even follow the teachings of the things they supposedly follow. I do live the parallels this show highlights though. And as muscular and jacked as Chidi is, I. Sure that mailman outfit really did it for Eleanor 🤣😄
It sucks that you'd lose so many points for unintentional negative effects you had no awareness or control over. And it feels like if those people are in the negative, Doug Forcett must be closer than anyone actually because his actions really don't have any outside effects? Does that make sense?
Yeah, that does make sense! I would say if you're living off the grid, in a remote location like Doug... But even that's not good enough.
Gwendolyn is played by Nicole Byer who got her start as a stand-up comedienne. She has had quite a few small roles in movies and guest appearances on TV. She is best known as a co-host of a comedic, almost reality, TV baking contest show called 'Nailed It", with over 50 episodes and still in production on Netflix.
Good catch about the almond milk, it’s my favourite recurring joke because it’s actually true. There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism.
How smart is this show? It feels so real that the world has gotten more complicated and being good is not simple. It is crazy to me that that we can tackle such complex philosophical topics one minute and then be talking about whirlpool vomit the next minute.
Shout out to Chidi being right about it all along!! I'm reminded of the Doctor Who episode when the 10th Doctor and Donna are trying to free the Ood. Donna questions why people would turn a blind eye to this, and he reminds her that it's not so different in her time. He mentions how clothes are made in sweatshops and she that turns a blind eye to that.
I literally just sat down with a glass of wine and thought "I hope Juliette has uploaded the next episode of The Good Place" and immediately got an email notification that you uploaded this... timing could not be more perfect 😁
