The Good Place 3x09 Janet(s)
I am a broken record but this episode was INCREDIBLE!
I cannot praise it enough. Just, wow.
I didn't realise this until later but Neil the accountant is the voice of Wheatley from Portal 2!
Goodness, I love this show. I'm going to need a corner piece of cake right about now.

"NOT THE CORNER PIECE!!!" makes me laugh every time. He's so funny.
*hides* i didnt like it i thought they overused janet and the writing just didnt seem as funny coming from her sorry ahhhh
I kind of agree - there were some good moments where she really felt like the other characters, but not all the time.
They had originally planned to air this episode after the mid-season break, but then decided to push it out beforehand in order to position it and D'arcy Carden for an Emmy campaign. The episode didn't win, and D'arcy Carden didn't even get nominated, which I think was a travesty and a huge snub.
I'll never look at hot sauce and nickels the same way again....
These string of a few episodes are some of my favorite in the whole series. Incredible performances, intense emotions, hilarious, and really interesting exploration of what it means to be good in ways that challenge what we learned about the world they created. Also, I love the confidence Janet has in Michael in his ability to fix the afterlife.
This is one of my favorite episodes!! D'Arcy Carden is just brilliant. She captures every character so beautifully. And that kiss!! My heart melts every time!!!! (Also, not sure if I can post YouTube links here but here's a behind the scenes reaction from the cast when the creator tells them that the Good Place is really the Bad Place LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Bhyin0HaLU
That must have been a very complicated episode to film. One (amazing) actress putting in multiple performances that then have to be spliced together in a convincing way. And of course they totally pulled it off! Great to see Stephen Merchant in this one. He was great as Wheatley in Portal and he was equally great here as Neil (super cool name by the way, as I'm sure you'd agree!). As always your love of this show made for an amazing reaction. Thanks for the video, and I hope you have a great day Juliette 💜
Surely the highlight of the episode was it having a character called Neil 🤣 Definitely a super cool name. I'm tempted to get a fourth cat and call him Neil 😋
D'Arcy Carden proving once more why she is the GOAT!
Playing 4 other characters in her body, and then playing 2 other characters playing *EACH OTHER* in her body, and then playing a 5th neutral version of herself? Amazing.
I'm ever so pleased you cottoned on to the Wheatley connection...
I wish it clicked during the episode 😅
Ah yes, the "oh its Stephen Merchant" episode :)
