Doctor Who 7x13 Nightmare in Silver
I don't want to say "I told you so..." But I think I did many times in this episode 𤣠I knew something would go wrong, and go wrong it did!
But this was such a treat, an episode full of WOW moments and it's episodes like this that remind me who Doctor Who is so special. Of course, the 11th Doctor is absolutely brilliant in this role and this episode just had him SHINING.

Well. This episode shows why Matt Smith made it in Hollywood. Need more evil Doctor episodes lol. David Tennant had 2 (The one with Martha when the planet was burning and the end of the mars episode!). Hopefully Matt Smith has some more. Loved this episode
There are a few prequels 'He Said, She Said' and 'The Last day' for the next episode
The piece of gold he puts on his face is the golden ticket he brings with him at the beginning of the episode. When you first watch it you do go wait where did he get gold from?? lol But itās that golden ticket. This episode gets a mixed reaction from fans (as youāve seen lol) but I love Matt Smith in this heās so good going between the two personalities and I liked the cyber mites too but I found the kids a bit annoying lol But as a stand alone episode it does a decent job!
Just a reminder. You very well may have watched the next episode already. When you do, you should follow it up with the minisode Night of the Doctor. No need to post a reaction, but perhaps mention it in the comments of the reaction of the episode after that. Night of the Doctor helps a little in putting the ending of the next episode in context. The episode after that is a lot of fun.
When it aired Gaiman's second Who got short shrift, mainly because its not The Doctor's Wife. There's a lot of brilliant concepts coming together. I feel the amusement park isn't visually realised with potency which hurts it. But everything else works. A lot of it still looks brilliant. It's also a fantastic character piece. Clara steps up and shows a lot of potential. Porridge reflects The Doctor's history were it comes to sacrifice and responsibility. The Doctor, especially Matt Smith, is a character made for adventures with children. An innocent world worth fighting for.
Glad you enjoyed this one! Itās really underrated amongst the fandom but it was a such a good sci-fi episode. And Matt Smith truly reaching new heights in his performance as the Doctor! Looking forward to next week!!ā¤ļø
I am surprised that it's underrated!! I thought Matt was brilliant in this episode. He is honestly an incredible actor. Often I am in awe of him and (weirdly) sometimes I think of myself being able to play a role like he does and I just can't envision how he does it. He makes it all look so easy, like it's second nature!
Ahh, you mentioned fallout Vegas, have you watched the Fallout show yet?
I have! It was pretty cool to see the Fallout world. Everything looked very realistic!
This episode is painful for me to watch. There are certain high frequency beeping sounds throughout the episode that are playing havoc with my tinnitus. I might have to sit this one out unfortunately.
That's no worries, Neil! I totally understand š
Season '7B' is considered to be a bit weak, not least by Steven Moffat and Matt Smith (who found it tough doing double duty as Mr. Clever), but while it's not as bad as all that this episode is a bit of a low point. It doesn't help that the kids don't really add much other than getting in the way and Clara could have easily found a way around their attempts to blackmail her into coming along. At least we get the wonderful Warwick Davis as the emperor and he's probably the main good thing in the episode.
